40 - Lies

Celestine never stops crying upon learning the lost of her child plus the possibility of her parents getting mad at her. "Babe, please stop crying." AJ said

"Babe, please ask the doctor, how did it happen? Paanong nawala yung baby natin?" Celestine continuously asked.

"I will ask her tomorrow. But for now magpahinga ka na muna." AJ said.

"Ethan, please call Mommy and Daddy. Tell them I am really very sorry. I know I made them upset, please tell them to forgive me." Celestine continuously said while sobbing.

"Ate, I know Daddy and Mommy will understand. Kaya lang let's just give this time for them to fonder everything. Nabigla naman kasi sila sa revelations today." Ethan said.

"I agree with Ethan, hayaan na muna natin ang Daddy at Mommy mo." AJ said.

"Nakita mo ba kung gaano kagalit ang Daddy ko, AJ? He never looked at me that sharp before." Celestine said.

"Nabigla nga kasi sila Daddy at Mommy, Ate. Please magpahinga ka na muna at wag mo nang asahang babalik ngayon sila Daddy at Mommy. I texted them to go home muna and just come back tomorrow. You need to be well by tomorrow para mas makapagpaliwanag ka sa kanila." Ethan said.

"We all had a long day today, Babe. At sa ating lahat, ikaw ang mas kailangan ng pahinga." AJ said. "And tomorrow, dalawa tayong magpapaliwanag sa kanila." He added.

"Just give me my phone. I want to say my goodnight to Mommy and Daddy and apologize before I go to sleep." Celestine said.

"You can apologize tomorrow. Tayong dalawa ang hihingi ng tawad sa kanila." AJ said and kisses Celestine's forehead. "For now, matulog ka na kasi baka mapagalitan ka na nung nurse kapag bumalik yun dito na gising ka pa. You are supposed to be resting na." AJ said.

Celestine got no other choice but to close her eyes. It took a while before she finally dozed of and AJ never leaves her side.

"You may leave now, ako na ang bahala sa Ate ko." Ethan told AJ.

"I'm sorry but I am staying, Ethan. Mas kailangan ako ni Celestine ngayon. I want to be here beside her when she wakes up." AJ said.

"You don't have to do this." Ethan said.

"I want to and I have to, she is my wife." AJ replied.

"Wala kang ebidensya." Ethan said.

"Is your sister's confirmation not enough? I can ask my secretary to bring the papers here tomorrow para mapatunayan namin ni Celestine na nagpakasal kami sa Korea." AJ said.

"And you expect us to just accept you as the new member of our family just because you marry my sister and got her pregnant?" Ethan toughly asked. "I'm sorry Architect AJ, or should I say President Andrew Garcia, Jr.? For me, marrying my sister without the blessing of our parents only shows insincerity. Much more sa Korea pa kayo nagpakasal where you could file a divorce easily." He further said.

"I cannot blame you if you think that way. Getting married with your sister without the blessing of your parents was wrong and I sincerely apologize for that mistake. But believe me, Ethan. I never loved anyone as much as I love your sister." AJ said.

"You have a lot to prove before you can convince me on that declaration." Ethan said.

"And I am willing to prove it to you and to everyone else." AJ replied.

Instead of going back to the hospital from FCC building, RJ and Maine went home when they receive a text message from Ethan telling them to just go straight home and rest. He volunteered to stay with AJ in the hospital and let his parents rest because he knows they had a very long day.
