The next day, Celestine is all smiles while staring at the ring on her finger. She never saw this abrupt proposal and wedding coming. All she has in mind when she insisted to fly to Korea was to celebrate with AJ their 11th monthsary.
Who would have thought that she marry the man that her family treated as business rival. The man whom she gets irritated when around at the early part of their college days but eventually became her crying shoulders. The man who stays with her during her heartbreak.
"He is not worth those tears." She recalls AJ told him while she was drowning herself in misery because of her break with her boyfriend Jericho.
"I fought for him. I even got mad at my Dad kasi akala ko, ayaw lang talaga ni Daddy na mag-boyfriend muna ako." Celestine replied in between tears.
"Ayaw naman talaga ng Daddy mo na mag-boyfriend ka muna hangga't hindi ka pa nagiging presidente ng FCC." AJ said while he wipes her tears with his bare hands. "Kaya itigil mo na yang pag-iyak mo. Wala namang kwenta yang iniiyakan mo." He further said.
"Thank you for staying with me AJ. Of all people, ikaw pa ang nandito na kasama kong nagdadalamhati dahil sa katangahan ko." Celestine said.
"Grabe naman yung statement na of all people." AJ commented.
"Tutoo naman eh. Imagine, you are the heir of the company we consider as our ultimate business rival nandito kasama kong nagwawalwal because of my heartbreak." Celestine said. "Siguradong gigilitan ako ng Daddy ko kapag nalaman nyang nakikipagkaibigan ako sa iyo." She added.
"If that is the case, bakit nakikipagkaibigan ka sa akin? Siguro may masama kang balak sa akin, hindi kaya fishing ka lang sa mga projects ng EGCC." AJ kidded.
"I hope you are not serious on that statement, because if you are friendship over na tayo agad-agad." Celestine said.
"Ganyan ka ba kapag heartbroken, masyadong vulnerable?" AJ asked. "I am expecting that you know me better than that. I am offended." He declared.
"I'm sorry friendship, because of what Jericho did to me, parang hirap na akong magtiwala eh. But I know sincere ka naman sa friendship mo sa akin eh. Wag ka munang mag-girlfriend ha, hintayin mo akong maka-move-on sa break-up namin ni Jericho. Baka pag nagkaroon ka na girlfriend, hindi mo na ako masasamahan sa pagwalwal" Celestine said.
"Eh kung ikaw na lang kaya ang gawin kong girlfriend. Parang hitting two birds in one stone. May girlfriend na ako, may kawalwalan ka pa." AJ said.
"Siraulo ka ba? Si Jericho nga hindi nakapasa sa Daddy ko eh, ikaw pa kaya. Baka tanggalan ako ng mana ng parents ko kapag naging boyfriend kita. Eto ngang friendship natin hindi ko masabi sa kanila, gagawin mo pa akong girlfriend." Celestine said. "That's bullshit, Andrew Garcia, Jr. That is such a bullshit idea." She further said.
"You are starting to curse, it means you are already drunk. Last round na ito ha, tapos ihahatid na kita sa bahay nyo." AJ said.
"Ang engot mo, paano mo akong ihahatid eh hindi nga ako pwedeng makipagkaibigan sa iyo." Celestine said.
"I will drive your car hanggang sa gate ng subdivision nyo. Siguro naman kaya mo nang mag-drive from the gate to your house since one block away lang ang bahay nyo from the gate." AJ said.
"You will drive my car? Paano ka babalik dito sa condo mo?" Celestine asked.
"I can book my ride. Ang importante, alam kong safe kang makakauwi." AJ replied.
