Two days before the effectivity of AJ's appointment as EGCC's president, Gara prepares a special dinner to the family.
"Grabe, I only see this much food on the table every Christmas eve. Ang dami mo namang hinanda, Mommy, lima lang naman tayong kakain." AJ commented.
"Hayaan mo na ako, sobrang proud lang ako sa iyo, anak." Gara said. "Ipinaluto ko lahat ng favorite mo, pwede kang magdala sa condo para hindi laging delivered food ang kinakain mo. Alam kong mas magiging busy ka once you sit as EGCC president. Kaya ngayon pa lang nag-a-adjust na ako." She further said.
"You can visit me anytime in the office everytime you miss me." AJ said.
"I am so proud of you, son. I am so happy of what you have become." Gara said.
"And that is all because of you, Mom. Syempre because of Dad, too. Kayo ang mga inspirations ko eh." AJ said.
"Maniwala ako sa iyo. Alam ko naman may special girl ka na eh." Gara uttered.
"Who told you that?" AJ asked.
"Sino pa ba, eh di ang Papa Jake mo. Sabi nya, this special girl seems to be a good influence to you. Sobrang sipag mo raw sa trabaho lately." Gara said.
"Lately is an understatement, Mom. Lagi naman akong masipag sa work." AJ replied.
"Kelan ko naman makikilala ang special girl na yan nagpapasaya sa anak ko?" Gara asked.
"Very soon, Mom. Maybe after six months at least." AJ replied.
"Whoever she is, I know she is a wonderful person. Hindi ka naman kukuha ng basta-basta lang." Gara said.
"And who is that wonderful person you two are talking about?" they heard Andrew asked.
"Hi Dad, good evening." AJ greated.
"May special guest ba tayo kaya ganito karami ang food sa mesa?" Andrew asked.
"I told I will prepare a special dinner tonight to celebrate AJ's new position in EGCC." Gara told Andrew.
"We are only five in the family, bakit pang 30pax ang food sa table?" Andrew asked.
"I agree, Dad. Feeling ko tuloy, bibitayin ako." AJ kidded.
"O sige, masyado kayong maangal, wag kayong kakain na dalawa." Gara said.
"Joke lang, Love. Eto naman nagtampo na agad." Andrew said.
"Uy ang daming food, sinong bisita Mommy?" Benedict asked when he came with Grace.
"Walang bisita but we are celebrating your Kuya AJ's promotion in EGCC." Gara replied.
"Ang daming food, paano natin uubusin lahat ito, Mommy?" Grace asked.
"I did not tell you na ubusin nyo lahat ng nakahain sa mesa. Kainin nyo kung ano lang ang kaya nyong ubusin. Yung matitira ipapamigay ko na lang sa kapitbahay." Gara uttered in a very annoyed tone.
"Akala ko ba ipapadala mo sa akin sa condo ang lahat ng left-over, Mommy. Bakit ipapamigay mo na ngayon sa kapitbahay." AJ sweetly uttered to somewhat ease his mother's irritation.
"Teka lang Kuya, you cannot bring all of these, walang matitira sa amin, favorite din namin ni Benedict ang mga food na ito ah." Grace said as she also felt a bit guilty about commenting on the food on the table.
"As if naman may madadala ka pa sa condo mo Kuya, I can finish all these." Benedict said.
"Oo nga, I agree with Ben, kaya nating ubusin ang lahat ng ito." Andrew uttered.
