"Jinnie~"

The man in question rolled his eyes as Taehyung addressed him again.

Taehyung had been pestering him all day, as usual, but today it seemed to be worse- a lot more annoying than usual.

"What, Taehyung?" He replied warily as he tried to jot notes down on his notebook.

The two were sitting in class, listening- or well, trying to listen to, their professor talking about literature. Taehyung, on the other hand, seemed to have another agenda.

"I need help." Taehyung whispered, clearly not paying any attention whatsoever to the lecture that was taking place.

"I know you do." Jin replied curtly.

"Jin!" Taehyung whinged, elbowing Jin's arm so that he ended up scribbling on his notepad.

"What?!" Jin exclaimed, wondering why Taehyung had waited until they were in class to bring up his issues.

"Help me~ please~" Taehyung requested, giving Jin his most pleading look.

"Alright, fine." Jin gave in reluctantly, more so to shut the younger up than anything else. "What's wrong?"

"Hoseok's birthday is coming up and I don't know what to get him." Taehyung admitted with a pout.

"Why is this my problem?" Jin wondered aloud.

"Jin, you don't understand." Taehyung said seriously. "This gift needs to be amazing. I want to blow his mind. Like, he got me a car and a dog and cute clothes and he made me personalised stuff on top of it all- you know what I got him for Christmas?"

"No." Jin deadpanned. "Because Hoseok doesn't go around bragging about how expensive his gifts were, unlike you."

"I got him a lousy coffee machine." Taehyung grumbled. "I mean he likes it and he uses it all the time but it sucks compared to what he got me. It sucks! It sucks so bad and I feel so bad because It's the worst gift ever-"

"Are you literally okay?" Jin asked worriedly as Taehyung reprimanded himself on his gifting ability.

"No, Jin, I'm not." Taehyung sighed frustratedly. "Because I love him so much and if I don't get him the best present in the world I'm going to have a mental breakdown-"

"Can you just chill out for a minute?" Jin asked incredulously. "You're taking this way too seriously."

"I don't think you're taking this seriously enough." Taehyung grumbled. "This is Hoseok we're talking about. Jung Hoseok- aka, the purest man in the world- a literal angel on earth. He deserves a birthday present that's more amazing than he is- which is pretty freaking amazing."

"Maybe it's because I'm not dating him," Jin started, which already wasn't promising. "But I don't think he's so important that you need to worry this much-"

"Then I don't think we can be friends anymore." Taehyung said gravely. "You can either love Hoseok and agree that he is the best person on the planet, or we will have to end this friendship."

"Can you stop being a drama queen for five minutes- actually I'll settle for one." Jin sighed. "Can you not be a drama queen for a single minute?"

"Okay, But this is really important to me." Taehyung admitted. "In all seriousness, I really want to do something special for him. He made me feel so pampered on my birthday and I want him to feel the same."

"Alright, I'll help you." Jin gave in. "What do you have in mind so far?"

"I don't know, all of my ideas seem kinda bad." Taehyung grumbled. "I was thinking of getting him one of those Kaws things that he likes for his office, but it doesn't feel personal enough, and when I think of what I got for my birthday from him then it seems like a bad gift on its own."
