The book fell on my face when the door suddenly opened. Napaupo ako sa kama. “What the fuck?!” I retorted.

Nakahalukipkip na sumandal si Nol sa pinto pagkasara niya rito. He raised an eyebrow.

“I need to tell you something,” panimula niya.

“Inspector Inugami told me something about the weapons,” aniya. He started to walk towards the shelves. May kinuha siyang rubicʼs cube at umupo sa isang silya.

“V mafia will enhance them— simply, they will create composite or fusion weapons.”

“Saan nakukuha ni Inspector ang impormasyon na 'yan? I mean, is that accurate?” salubong ang mga kilay ko na nilingon si Nol. He is currently shuffling the rubicʼs cube.

“Tracker,” he simply said. Then he started making patterns. Napatango ako.

“And about the purple drug...”

“What about it?”

“Itʼs not the real purple diamond. V mafia are making artificial purple diamonds. Inspector lacks other information but they suspected that V mafia are probably doing some experiments using the artificial diamond.”

Napanganga ako sa sinabi niya. “For real?” hindi makapaniwalang sambit ko.

“This is the interesting part,” Nol smirked. Nakatuon ang pansin niya sa rubicʼs cube. How come? I mean, paano siya nakakapag-focus kung may sinasabi siya sa akin? E ako nga ayokong ginugulo kapag nagbubuo ng rubicʼs cube e. Siguradong malilito lang ako.

“Remember the missing bodies of businessmen? Well, they are using them as guinea pigs. Injecting them a purple liquid— which I assumed is also an artificial diamond.”

Ibinaba niya sa lamesa ang nabuong rubicʼs cube. That was fast huh.

“Ayon kay Inspector, there are a lot of scientists and doctors in that place.”

“What place? May nilagay silang tracker, right? So maybe alam na nila kung saan ang base ng V mafia.” sabi ko.

“No. Inspector said itʼs not their main base. Based from what they have observed, isa lamang iyong laboratory. Weʼve suspected that thereʼs a larger laboratory in their main base.”

“May access pa rin ba sila sa tracker?” I asked.

“Yes,”

“Sana hindi agad mapansin ng kung sino man 'yung tracker. In that way, the person whoʼs attached to the tracker might go to their main base.”

Nol nodded. “Thatʼs all, I have to go.” tumayo na siya at lumapit sa pinto. He twisted the doorknob and pulled it to open the door but before leaving, he turned around. “Have you taken your lunch already?”

Nagsalubong ang mga kilay ko. I glanced at the clock. Lunch time is almost over. Kaya pala medyo kumakalam na ang sikmura ko. “Nope,” I answered.
