DING! DONG! The doorbell rang and you raced to the door. You opened the door up and let your visitor inside.

    "(Y/n), why did you invite me over?" Varian said as he took his shoes off.

    "OCTOBER 31st, it's Halloween," you explained.

    "So?"

    "So, we're going to watch a scary movie," you said.

    "Are you sure that this is a good plan?" Varian knew that it was going to be your first horror film and also his, which means that neither of you knew what the film had in store. You brought a DVD to your bedroom with some popcorn.

    "We're going to watch 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'," you said, putting the disc into the player. You took a seat on your bed and you were so ready for the movie to start. Using the remote to put the movie on, you took a shovel of popcorn and held it in your hands. (This movie has the best horror story plot.)

     "What is this movie exactly supposed to be about?" Varian wondered. You looked at him like 'seriously'.

     "It's about a killer that attacks in your sleep," you explained. "hence, 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. It's about to start." you said, realizing that the movie was beginning.

     "It's already scary and it just says Ohio," Varian said. (Inside joke: 100%)

    "Shhh," you said. The opening scene was beginning and you saw a person who woke up from a nightmare where they were being chased by a man in decayed clothes and a signature work glove on their right hand. The girl who woke up from the nightmare seemed very terrified with the events that had just occurred and you noticed that neither you nor Varian had said a single word in those first few minutes. You were too scared to break the silence so you went to reach for another hand scoop of popcorn but Varian and your hands touched and you were quite embarrassed.

     "Her mother is genuinely concerned about her, that's really sweet," Varian said, as the girl's mother pointed out that the girl had slashes on her nightgown. "But those slashes were from the dream...how did they get in the real world?"

     "I don't know!" you responded, "I've never watched a horror movie before!"

     The next morning, the girl victim's friend consoled her and told her that they should hang out at her house while her mother is out of town. "Her friend cares too...I feel like the only person that would care about me if something happened to me as this would be you."

     "Thanks, but your dad would be concerned, and so would Raps, and Eugene, and probably even Cass too. She has a heart underneath."

     Varian laughed at your comment about Cass and you felt like this movie might actually be bringing you together. "Okay, so now they're having a sleepover. Who exactly are these people again?"

     "Tina, her friend, her friend's boyfriend, and Tina's boyfriend," you told him, still chomping on some of the popcorn you had cupped in your hand.

     Tina fell asleep in the movie and Varian was instantly concerned, "You can't sleep in Ohio! What are you doing!? If you fall asleep you be attacked by him..." the killer appeared on the screen once again, "...see, I called it. She shouldn't have fallen asleep. That wasn't a good idea." You smiled at how invested he was in the movie, you weren't sure how he was going to react to a horror film and you had no idea how you would react in all honesty.

     "Oh no, her boyfriend noticed." Tina was tossing and turning in her sleep and her boyfriend watched as she got cut by the killer's glove. "Oh geez! Ah!" you said as Tina was dragged across the room.
