You have a friend in this one and you can imagine at as one of your friends because I didn't give them a name and I also didn't use any gender pronouns so you can just chose who you want to use in the story.

------------------

"It's a day that only siblings can go to." your friend was going on and on about, "My family is forcing me to go, and I wish that you could come with me but you don't have a brother or a sister." A thought came into your mind it was a stupid thought and you knew it.

"Pfft. Sure I do. They're right here." you said, and you dragged a random stranger that was walking by the hallway you were standing in.

"What's their name?" your friend asked, not impressed. They could tell that you were lying, how did they always know? You went around the corner telling her that you would only be a minute.

"I'm so sorry, I'm such a mess and now I've dragged you into this mess." they were confused and you found it a little bit cute, "You have to pretend to be my sibling. What's your name?"

         "Varian," he replied.

"Okay Varian, you're now my new brother, welcome to the family," you said and you were about to bring him around the corner to go back to your friend's conversation.

"Mind explaining what's actually going on here," Varian said, stopping you from going back over there. "I just think that I should know because I was brought into this situation quite coincidentally." (yeah coincidence, that's how he got there)

"Okay," you said taking a deep breath, "so my friend that you were semi-introduced to, has a sibling, and is going to a sibling day, and she wants me to come....but I don't have a sibling. Are you following?"

"So you lied to your friend and you want me to help you cover that lie?"

"I'm sorry it's so unmoral and shady," you said resting your face against the wall.

"How about you go introduce your friend to me? You actually haven't done that." you stood back from the wall a bit shocked. Would your plan actually go the way that it should?

"His name is Varian," you said coming back to your friend.

"Okay, so this means that you can come to sibling day, I'm so happy!" they said, very excited for you to be coming with them. The more excited you were, the more guilty of the lie you felt. It felt like they just kept repeating 'sibling' over and over and it was a mess of words inside your head attacking your ability, to be honest.

Forgetting that Varian was still next to you as you walked up to your class, you began to pour all of your worries out into the world, "Why can't you just be honest with your friend? Well, they wanted you to go to a sibling thing and you didn't have a sibling. Couldn't they have gone by themselves? What am I thinking? Friends don't leave friends behind!"

"I don't mean to interrupt whatever conversation you're having here, but I have to get to class," Varian said, walking into a classroom, your classroom.

"Um, Varian, but that's my classroom," you said, trying to be smarter.

"Cool, we're in the same class," the smart look on your face was instantly washed off and then you didn't feel as smart. You walked inside the classroom with a new look on your face, the look of "Do you want to sit next to each other?"

Your friends were looking at you as if they already knew about the whole debacle, and they had somehow all been sitting together already, you didn't see any choice. "Yes, but it's only because everyone else's seats are taken," you said sitting next to him. Class was decent, you would have enjoyed it better if you didn't feel like everyone was watching you like you did something wrong, but nevertheless life goes on.
