So yeah, this all started with @SmyPonies 's majorly cool au idea. Then I asked if I could do it, then we talked and we both concluded that we would do it for the anniversary of the "Queen for a Day" episode (aka when this au takes place).

"The Legend of Xhan Tiri. Eons ago, an evil warlock, Xhan Tiri, had a deep hatred for Corona. And cast a spell which caused a blizzard to sweep across the land.

The storm destroyed everything in its path. All would have been lost, had it not been for the ancient engineer, and inventor, Lord Demanitius. Using both magic and science, Demanitus built a massive subterranean machine, deep in the Corona mountains. This mighty device had the ability to change the direction of the wind, and it pushed the flurries out of the sea.

The day was saved."

RAPUNZEL had an idea, one that connected real life and fiction, one that would help save her people or one that would end in bitter disaster. She knew that she wouldn't be able to just pull it off by herself and as she was talking with Cass, the captain of the guard, Nigel, and you.

"That can't be the only way." she paced away from the group. "What about Xavier?"

"Your highness!" Nigel shrieked, "Lives are at stake here we can't just be chasing after fairytales in our darkest hour!"

"Princess Rapunzel!" you heard a voice call out. It was loud, but it also seemed shaky and the person calling seemed out of breath. You looked over in the direction it was coming from, standing beside Rapunzel as a boy ran in to see her.

"We're so sorry princess, he ran right past us," Pete said, racing to catch up to him as the captain of the guard held him back from Rapunzel. You immediately grew concerned for Rapunzel, and you wondered what the boy could be here for. Had he run through the storm just to talk to the princess?

"Wait, it's okay," Rapunzel said, as the boy struggled out of the captain's hold.

"Rapunzel, my dad's in danger you're the only one that can help, please," he said, and you worried about the boy. What kind of danger? Had he gotten lost in the snowdrifts? "Come to Old Corona with me, now."

You were wondering why the boy didn't phrase it as a question, it was more of a demand. Rapunzel looked at all of the people in the room with her, she saw all of their confused and desperate looks. She knew that the choice she was making was a big one, a friend or a kingdom big, there was no time to think about all of the different possibilities in her mind, but in your mind, you had begun to think about all of them.

Rapunzel pulled the known as Varian out of the room that everyone was discussing things and they talked in the hallway. "Varian, what's wrong?"

"Please, please the rocks, they're encasing my dad." he said, worried that he wasn't going to get back to his father in time.

"Encasing?" Rapunzel asked at the same time you asked yourself the same question. "What are you saying?"

"C-come see for yourself," Varian said and you began to realize that it was the truth and his father was in serious danger. "Help, I know you, you have a connection to these rocks."

"Varian." Rapunzel said sadly, "It's a state of emergency here, I'm sorry I can't help you. Not right now."

"No! N-n-no, listen to me, my dad doesn't have much time, you are the only one who can help! Rapunzel, please." he pleaded to the acting queen.
