A/n~ I really want it to snow...

I sit on the couch, reading my new book and petting Chica, when the all the lights flicker. It's snowing pretty hard outside, so I'm not too surprised. I wait casually for my husband, Mark, to walk in and make a comment on it because I know he will. Speak of the devil. "(Y/n)! The lights are flickering." He says, as if he is afraid of the dark. "Is it demons, ghosts,  or demogorgans?" I ask not looking up at him. "I can take out ghost or demons, but if it's a demogorgan we're screwed." I tell him, still not looking up. "It scares me how casually you say that." He grumbles. I chuckle. "Relax. It's probably just the storm messing with the electricity. We might wanna get the candles and flashlights out." I say.

"And if it isn't?" I laugh. "We gather salt, iron, make a devils trap and hope it isn't a demogorgan." I say. Mark sits on the couch next to me. "You need to stop watching Supernatural and Stranger Things." He points out. "Never." I tease. "Come on, let's go find the flashlights a candles." As soon as the words are out of my mouth, all the lights go off. Mark screams. "And you need to stop playing Five Nights at Freddy's. The lights going out does not mean Freddy is coming for you." I can feel Mark's glare. "Never. I'm the king." "Well the king needs to help me find candles." I grab my phone to use as a flashlight.

After a few minutes we find the candles in the kitchen and bedroom, and the flashlights in a closet. We light candles in the bathroom, living room, and kitchen. Once finished, we set up a fire in the fireplace, and we sit on the couch to cuddle. "Oh, and remember not to open the fridge." I remind him. Mark throws his arms around me, mumbling acknowledgement. I play with his hair, as I look at the now unlit Christmas tree, thinking. "I love you, Mark." I say randomly. "I love you too, (Y/n)." He leans in and kisses me. "I love these quiet moments. And our little Christmas's. I love being with you because you make me so happy." Mark looks at me, seriousness in his gaze.

"You make me happy too. I love you so much." I pull him into a kiss. Things start to get heated. His hands slip under my shirt. It was a pretty eventful night for not having electricity.

~~~~~~~~~Christmas Morning~~~~~~~~~
I sit on the ground next to the tree, waiting to give Mark the small box I'm holding. "Is there something wrong, (Y/n)?" I bite my lip. "It's just, you know how Chica has been a bit more lovey towards me?" I ask. Mark nods, not catching on. "Yeah, she's a traitor. What about it?" He jokes. Before I can respond, he continues. "Oh god no. Dogs can sense cancer. And you were at the doctor recently! (Y/n) do you have cancer?" At this point, Mark is standing up and freaking out. I pull him to the ground with me, and hand him the box with the positive test inside. He opens it, and his eyes widen. "No. I'm trying to say that this will be our last Christmas alone." I chuckle. "Are you serious?" I nod. He cups my face, and kisses me passionately. "I love you." He says, staring into my eyes. "I love you too."
