Jack P.O.V.
I'm woken up to small hands shaking me awake. It's still dark out, being only 6am. "Daddy, wake up." The little girls pleads. "I'm awake, I'm awake. Calm down, Lily." I start to sit up, and see our little 6 year old girl staring at me. She looks so much like her. I think with a smile. "Daddy, you promised we could go see Mommy today." I nod tiredly. "Okay, go get dressed." I instruct. She rushes out of the room to do so, and I get dressed myself. I go to the kitchen to make coffee for myself, and toast for Lily. She comes into the kitchen, yawning but looking excited.
"Why do we go so early again?" She asks. I chuckle a little because I know she knows, she just loves hearing me say it. "So we can all see the sunrise together."
"Because it's Mommy's favorite." She adds. I nod, handing her the toast. I get the coffee in a travel cup, and lift Lily in one hand as she munches her food. "Let's go."
In the car, I watch her in the rear view mirror for a second. Her eyes linger out the window. She loved visiting (Y/n), but it also made her so sad. Of course, I couldn't blame her. It made me sad, it is just sad. I park. It's quiet. I go around and get Lily out of the car. I let her carry the flowers I had in the car. Holding her hand, we walk through the field. We stop at our destination. Lily sets the flowers down on the grave.
"Hi Mommy. We're back again...I miss you. Sometimes at school, kids don't believe me when I say my Mommy's an angel. But I know. Daddy says you'll always protect me though, so I know one day they'll believe me." Lily speaks to her. A tear falls down my cheek.
"Hey baby...we miss you everyday. Everyday.... I love you, and I will do anything to protect our daughter. Don't worry. Where ever you are...I hope you're happy." I whisper to her while Lily speaks. (Y/n) died when Lily was four. She's too young to understand that (Y/n) and her are my whole world. And now that world is only half as big. But filled with just as much love and care. Our little girl that looks just like you. She'll be okay. "Daddy?"
"Yes, sweetie?"
"Will Mommy protect you too? I don't want to be alone." She whispers. My heart breaks a little. "She will. I promise. You'll never be alone. I'll always be right here. Because I love you Lily, and so did Mommy." I tell her. "I love you too Daddy." I lift her into my arms, and kiss her head. "The suns rising." She notices. Together, we all watch the sun rise.
Third Person P.O.V.
The ghostly, unseen figure stood next to the pair. A soft smile on her lips. She kissed her little girls head, and her husbands cheek. They couldn't feel it, but they felt a certain warmth in their hearts. She stood next to her husband, her head on his shoulder, and watched her favorite thing in the world with her favorite people in the world.
