Imagine a world where you are the YouTube star, and Jack is the fan. So his channel doesn't exist in this.

I look at the final question before I close off this Q&A. "From, jack-septic-eye. That's a cool name, I like that. Anyways, they said, 'Hey (Y/n), I really enjoy you're videos.' Aw, thanks Jack. 'I understand if you don't want to answer, this is a more personal question, but I've noticed you don't talk about you're family a lot. Is there a reason for that?'" I shift a little. I don't have the best relationship with my family. I stare straight at that camera, ready to answer.

"There actually is. Um, when I turned nineteen I was still living at home. I was doing YouTube while there until I could move out. I didn't leave for college because I was mainly focused on YouTube, which might bite me later in life, but my parents we're never particularly fond of that fact, so we we're already on the rocks. They kept quite about it most of the time, but still found ways to call me a disappointment without really saying that. My parents are very traditional. They wanted me and my sister to be successful lawyers or doctors or any of that typical stuff. Things got worse though. If you don't know, I'm the oldest sibling in my family with two younger sisters. I would do anything for them. My younger sister, who was 15 at the time, told my parents that she was gay. They freaked out, and disowned her on the spot. I rose to her defense because I'm open to any of the LGBTQ+ community members. They disowned me too, kicked us out, and I became her legal guardian."

I sigh, think back on that day. "But that was years ago. My sister and I both rose up from that, and have our own happy lives. She moved out a few years ago, and YouTube took off for me, so here I am. Nearly thirty years old, alone, and doing YouTube." I laugh, but it's a little downcast after that last question.

"Thank you guys for watching, and I will see you all in the next video. Bye." (Y/n) does her outro, but it's clearly not enthusiastic. I feel bad because it was my question that mad her upset, and because her parents are jerks. I can't help but feel excited too though. I was mentioned in a video, and she said she liked my account name. It was obvious to those that knew me that I had quite a fan-girl crush on the YouTuber, but at least I'm not 10 years younger then her. She also lives in Brighton, but I've never run into her. I hope that I do at some point though.

I walk out of my house to go get some groceries. I need milk, bread, maybe some ice cream.... I make a mental list as I walk. I live close enough that it's basically a nice walk too. It's only about 6:30 p.m. right now, but it's gotten dark since it's the winter months. As I walk into the small grocery store, I'm hit with a blast of warm air which I'm grateful for since I didn't wear a coat. I have on a sweatshirt with my wallet in the pocket. It doesn't take me long to find everything I need. I have a full basket with my food, and walk towards the checkout. While walking there I pull out my phone to check Twitter, which leads me to run into someone. I hear a small 'oof' as the other person hits the floor.

I look up to see a man with bright blue eyes and brown hair. He's pretty cute. I note. "I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention." I start, whilst picking up my dropped items on my knees. He doesn't respond at first, it's like he's in a daze, but after a few moments he speaks. "Uh, no no, it's fine. Let me help. I'm Jack." He says quickly, and nervously for some reason, helping my pick up the fallen items. "Nice to meet you Jack, I'm-" He cuts me off. "(Y/n). Sorry that probably sounds stalkerish." I chuckle. It all makes sense now. "Not at all Jack." He sighs, relieved. Once everything is put back in the basket, we stand. "Er, sorry about that question about you're family." He says. It takes me a moment to realize what he is talking about. "Oh right, don't worry about it. I really do like your account name though, it's cool."

He chuckles. "Thanks." We continue a conversation, until I realize we've walked out of the store together. "Oh, sorry for keeping you. Can I get a picture before you leave?" I nod. We pose and take a few pictures. "It was really nice meeting you!" He says. "Wait, Jack! Um, I walked here, so do you maybe want to, um, walk me home?" I ask, getting kinda shy. "Of course, Er, sure!" he says enthusiastically. I don't know what to say. There's just something about him. I really like him. "Scared to walk home alone?" He teases. I chuckle. "No, I just like your company." Even in the dark, I can see him blush. I stop him as we get to my house. "This is me." He seems upset.

"Alright. It was really amazing to meet you. Would you, um, maybe, get coffee sometime?" He asks, flustered. "Like a date?" I ask hopefully. His face goes red. "No, I mean yes, I mean I would like it to be a date, if you want." I laugh. "Your cute, you know that. It's a date." I take out a pen, writing my number on his hand. "You better call me, Jack." I walk to me door. "I will!" He shouts before I enter. I wave before closing the door. Who knew that I would like a fan this much?
