Me and my theories ^

Here! This is my theory for sander sides! I kinda just used this chapter as an excuse to share my theory. Kinda important for the chapter but you can also just skip and understand it. Anyways, here we go- (May contain spoliers)

For those of you who dont know, the rainbow theory is that there is a final side, orange, to complete the rainbow. Romen being red, Janus being yellow, and so on. Now here's the interesting part. There are two blues. Logan and Patton. This could lead people to say it's based off of the ROY G BIV rainbow, however, I believe the rainbow, since Thomas is gay, is based on the pride flag.

Well now this poses the question, why are there two blues then? Because the original pride flag, that was changed for easier manufacturing, had two additional colors. One was turquoise/light blue, being Patton since he is the lighter blue. As for the other color, pink. This leads me to believe that there is a pink side. But wait!

There's more....

There are three 'light' sides and two 'dark' sides. I count Virgil as neutral because he is dark gone light, and even deflects from calling them dark sides. I believe that orange would be the final dark side to balance things out. Now, you may be asking why it can't be the pink side? Or maybe, where the pink side comes in? In the original flag the pink, mysterious side, and the purple, Virgil, are on opposite ends of the flag.

Pink side would be the complete opposite of Virgil, yet still be neutral. Pink side would be light gone dark. This is an add on to my Pink Theory, more so about Pinks name. There is a notable difference in names among the sides. Patton, Logan, Roman have the -in suffix, but, as they have pointed out before, Virgil does not. I think there is a reason the pointed this out, and it ties in with this Pink theory.

If you look at the other sides, Remus and Janus both have the -us suffix. Going by rainbow theory, and assuming that the orange side would be on that side of the spectrum (which I think they will) they would also have the -us suffix. There's a clear pattern, Virgil being the only exception with -ul suffix.

As I stated before, Pink would be neutral just like Virgil, albeit his opposite, but making them in the same grouping. Considering each of the two existing groups have a pattern, their name will also end with the -ul suffix. Well,Pink would be light gone dark, and obviously Virgil is dark gone light. So why don't they have names that still fit the patterns?

Whatever Pink would represent, they were always meant to appear good until other wise just like Virgil was meant to appear scary until clearly proven otherwise. So it's because the were always meant to be neutral. They were set up to change from their very beginnings.

And this is about Orange. And this is about Vigil/Paranoia. In case you don't know, Virgil admits to originally being a 'Dark side' in Intrusive Thoughts. And further more, people suspect him of originally being Paranoia rather then Anxiety. This is because, during Intrusive Thoughts, Logan starts to say to Virgil, "You're just being parano-" and cuts himself off at Virgil's expression before rewording.

However I don't believe this is the case. When Vigil first arrives, he's a bit of jerk. He is cocky, constantly tries to get on Thomas's nerves, they aren't particularly fond of him (Particularly Roman who seems to have it out for the 'Dark sides'), and seems to only care for himself. These are all qualities of the existing 'Dark sides,' and yet they still referred to him as Anxiety. I think this was Thomas already proving the existence of the others. And that Paranoia is another hint.

I believe that the missing orange side is Paranoia. And Vigil and Paranoia have a very complicated and/or dark history, especially since they would be very close traits. And that's why Virgil doesn't want Paranoia mentioned. He doesn't want the orange devil to pop up.
