It's quiet. Silent. Peaceful. I never quite liked the beach, but after I've spenr three years on the run, I've come to appreciate the crashing waves and the soft sand. The beach is technically closed right now, seeing as it is the middle of the night, but I was never one for rules. No, I'm not running from the cops, or from my terrible past. I've run from the psycho that killed my best friends. He was one of them, and he killed them. All because he couldn't let go of the past. It wasn't Anti's fault, it wasn't any of theirs. But now they're all gone.  I had warned Jack of him before I went off the grid, and I have no clue what happened. All I know is that he is after me.

Honestly, I don't know why. He seemed to be after only those who 'hurt people' and 'needed to pay.' I don't understand. Was it about witnesses? Allowing them to stick around? I don't know. I doubt I'll ever know. It's not like I'm going to ask when he finds me.

I hear footsteps in the sand behind me. It's him. It has to be. I knew he was closing in. I could feel it. And honestly, I let him. I'm tired. I'm done running.

"So you finally caught up." I don't face him.

"I'll admit, you were hard to find." It's hard listening to him, having the same voice as them. It's cruel and twisted. "But now I've got you."

"I guess so. This is it then? You're just going to kill me? Chop off my head, drop your apples, and run like you did to them? You're own brothers?!" I seethe, my back still facing him. I laugh bitterly. "You think you're any better then them?"

"They aren't my brothers, they're murders. And the others were too naive to get rid of them. They're all to blame. Even you." I hear him get closer.

"Can you tell me first, if Jack is alive?" Silent tears roll down my face.

"For now. He ran off with those Ipliers once you contacted him."

"Leave them alone. Don't hurt them like this." My voice is barely above a whisper, but he still hears.

"I can't leave it alone."

"You're a monster."

"No, I just have a mission." Before any other words are said, I hear him draw his sword, and my life is cut short by the brunt of his blade.
