I hope it's good!
Felix P.O.V.
"(Y/n), I'll be back soon, okay?" I call out from my spot in the doorway. "Okay." Her timid voice calls back. She's always been very shy. I adopted a 15 year old girl named (Y/n) about 6 months ago. She can be really shy. She hasn't appeared in a video yet, though my fans knew about her, and she hadn't met anyone I was close to. But that changes today. I didn't tell her, but I going to the airport to pick up Mark, Ethan, and Jack in hopes to get her out of her shell a bit.
(Y/n) P.O.V.
Since Felix had left for a bit, and Marzia was visiting family in Italy, I decided to dance for a little bit since I was home alone. Dancing was my favorite hobby, but I didn't really have the courage to tell anyone about it. I had joined a dance team at school, which stayed late after school on Fridays. I always told Felix I was staying late to help teachers clean up, which wasn't a complete lie since the team always cleaned the gym up after using it. Anyways, we had a new routine we are learning, so I decide to go to the living room where there is the most space. I play the music on my phone, and follow along to the memorized steps. I've worked so hard for everything to be perfect, and I will continue to do so. I love dancing. I feel so weightless and free. It's exhilarating. I keep repeating the dance over and over, fixing my mistakes as I go. I continue for so long, I lose track of time. I didn't realize how long I was dancing until I see Felix watching me. What's worse is he has three other people. I stop mid dance, staring at them. "That was-" I don't let Felix finish before I grab my phone and run to my room. Tears fall, and I slam the door shut, embarrassed beyond repair.
I slid down the door and cry into my hands. I didn't want him to know. Not yet, at least. And he had outside people with him. I'm so embarrassed. I hear a knock at my door. "(Y/n), honey, please come out." Felix pleads. I don't move or say a word. "Honey, it was so amazing. You are so talented. You don't need to be afraid." I still say nothing. I hear him sigh. "I'll leave you alone for now, but please come talk to me when you're ready." And he shuffles away. I curl into a ball. He knows how shy I am. How could he bring strangers here without telling me? I crawl over to my bed, and lay down to rest. I feel so exposed and small. I hate it.

Over the next few days, I kept my head down, only leaving my room to get food and go to the bathroom. Felix would always try and talk to me, or introduce his friends, but I always kept walking. I know it's hurting him, and it's hurting me too. It's not that I don't want to be ducking them, I just feel like I can't. I was going into the kitchen, looking for Cheez-Its (listen, I dont know if Cheez-Its are sold in Brighton, but do I look like I have fucks to give about that XD), when a voice stops me. "Hey (Y/n)." Startled, I turn to face them. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare ya. I'm Jack." He introduces, holding out his hand. I timidly shake it. He seems overly friendly, and he's loud. Not that I'm not used to it though. "Hi." I say quietly. He gives a kind smile. "We haven't seen much of ya." He points out. I shrug. "You know, Felix has been really down. We really aren't anyone to be afraid of. We just want to get to know you. And for the record, the dance was really fantastic, so how about you come talk with us in the living room." I think it over, and decide to nod. "Ok, come on." Still holding my Cheez-Its, because I need the moral support of the cheesy goodness, I join the group in the living room. They all look surprised, especially Felix, when I walk in behind Jack. I plop myself down next to Felix. I move my hair to cover my face to the best of my ability, but Felix ruffles my hair and moves it out of my face. "Felix, stop!" I hiss. "She speaks!" Felix laughs. I look down, shoving Cheez-Its in my mouth. "(Y/n), this is Jack, Mark, and Ethan." Felix introduces. I wave a little. "I'm (Y/n)." I state. I look over at Felix, who seems pretty happy by my presence here, so I look up a little at the group. "So (Y/n), how's school going?" Ethan asks. "Kids don't want to talk about school Ethan." Mark scoffs. I chuckle quietly so none of them hear. "I-It's school." I shrug, speaking just loud enough to be audible. "The transition couldn't have been easy. Did you make new friends, maybe find a lover." Mark teases. I go read a little, but nod. "Friends." I state. So far no one seems to be winning the talking lottery. "Has living with Felix driven you mad yet?" Jack asks, laughing at Felix's scowling face. I simply shake my head, looking down at the box of Cheez-Its in my hand.
"So that dance was really good. How long have you been doing that?" Ethan asks. I feel a sudden spark of joy, and immediately perk up. My head is up, and I speak clearly without even meaning to. "For about four months now. I joined a dance team at school. We practice really hard to make everything as perfect as possible. I love dancing so much. I feel so free and strong when I dance. We meet after school every Friday, then clean the gym after." I realize what I just admitted. "Um...sorry I lied and didn't tell you." I say to Felix. But he doesn't look angry or shocked, he looks proud and has a wide smile on his face. He wraps his arms around me in a hug. "I'm not mad. I'm so proud of you, and grateful to have you as an amazing, beautiful daughter." He praises. I hold back tears of joy, and hug him back, grateful that Jack convinced to come out of my shell a bit to be here.

Third Person P.O.V.
(Y/n) checked out the crowd from behind the curtain. The dance team was performing for a competition tonight. The judges sat in front, and students and families from multiple schools walked about. But she was looking for two specific faces. Felix and Marzia, whom she found in the third row center. She was nearly ready to burst with nerves, but the couple were filled with pride. They were excited to see their daughter perform. (Y/n) nervously followed her teammates on stage when their school was called. They got and their positions, flawlessly recounting every step and move. (Y/n) felt her nerves slip away, and be replaced with utter joy. Her mind swirling with happy thoughts of dance, and her parents being in the audience. Once the song stops, and the dance stood in their final poses, the audience clapped with a roaring thunder. Marzia had tears of pride on her cheeks, and Felix held the biggest smile he'd ever smiled.
After the remaining schools performed, it was time to announce the competition winners. (Y/n) and her team held hands and crossed fingers. Their school had a history of winning this competition, and they didn't want to be the team to break it. "The winner is......(School name)!" With a cry of pure happiness, the team rushed back onto stage to receive their trophy. After the ceremony was concluded, (Y/n) rushed to find Marzia and Felix. When she found them, their eyes glowing with pride and happiness, she wrapped them both into a hug. "I'm so proud of you, (Y/n)." Marzia praised. "You did so well!" Felix wiped the tears of happiness of her face. "You did amazing up there. I'm so grateful to call you my daughter." And for the first time, (Y/n) didn't feel any need to hide or any sort of shyness, just closeness to her family.
