Day and night my mind is running
Reaching out 'cause I want something more
That I've never had before

I sigh boredly as I type another line of numbers on the computer. Such a dead end job. I want something new. Something better. Don't you ever feel like you were meant for more?

I'm scared to chase what I've been dreaming
Beyond a want and now I need it
Push me by surprise
So I can take the dive

I just don't know how to chase after it. I need a change. I need someone to help push me towards that change because this just feels.... wrong.

Day and night my mind is racing
Dents and foot prints I've been pacing
What am I supposed to find?

Sometimes I feel like I'm getting close to whatever I'm supposed to be looking for, but then it's like I wake up at work. Is it all a dream?

My god I'm the bait and the predator's my mind
It eats at me all the time
Can we stop and rewind?
I'm not so sure

I see a woman enter the building. She seems vaguely familiar. I see (H/l), (H/c), hair, and (e/c) eyes behind a pair of glasses. She is pretty I suppose. I hear some coworkers whispering. "Her again? She's here everyday!" "Yeah, I've got no clue what she does." They leave the area. I'm confused. Wouldn't I have remembered seeing her before? She comes up to my desk. "Nathan Sharp." At first I think it's a question, but it's really a statement. "Excuse me?" I ask hesitantly. "Your name is Nathan Sharp. You're a talented singer and YouTuber. You have a life beyond this. You were in a car crash. You have retrograde amnesia. That means you've forgotten your life before this and made new memories." She speaks desperately. "I-I'm Sorry, you've got the wrong guy."

When'd I become my own enemy
I don't understand what you see in me
'Cause I'm just another story
(That's not worth the reading)

"You're sabotaging yourself, Nate. You need to listen to me." The woman says calmly, but there are tears in her eyes. "Look lady, I don't know what you want from me. I'm just Nathan Smith from accounting. That's all." She shakes her head. "Can you tell me what you remember from your childhood? Or what you did before this?" She expands her arms and waves them around for emphasis.

Now you've got me pinned up against the wall
Why aren't you afraid that I'll take the fall
There's more that came before me
(Am I worth believing?)
I'm not so sure

I open my mouth to answer, but find I have none. "Come home to me Nate." I hear her whisper.  "This isn't you." She adds. I stand up to face her, and push her back slightly by her shoulders. "Ma'am, I think you should leave? Are you drunk? On something? Can I call someone for you?" I question. She chuckles dryly. "That's my Nate, so kind." I'm beyond freaked out. "I'll be back, Nate." She promises before walking away, leaving me with a swarming mind.

Eye to eye our worlds collided
Ear to ear you kept me smiling
Kept me happy kept me grounded
Before I flew away

"Nate! Put me down!" She's laughing. Isn't it beautiful? There's a smile, such a wide smile, on my face. She always makes me happy. She makes anywhere feel like home.

I felt it breaking

I wake up with a start at my computer. Such a strange dream. Or...memory? I can't tell. The faces were so blurry and fleeting. But that voice. I think I remember that voice.

Then you came around

I see the woman from yesterday come into the building again. The only difference is that I remember her this time. "Nathan Sharp." She says again. Her voice is more strained this time.
