Puppies {Mark x Reader}

That's my dog Shadow ^ A real winner am I right
He's a dumbass. A lovable dumbass :D Anyways, I'm putting him in this one-shot because I can, so he's yours now. Realistically both dogs have been fixed (well I only assume Chica has been) but in this one-shot they aren't, so puppies :/

(Y/n) P.O.V.

"Shadow did what?" I ask into the phone. My best friend, and crush, Mark had called me to say that my dog got his dog preggo as a speggetto (I'm sorry I had too XD) "Technically, I'm not certain. But Chica hasn't been around any other male dogs besides Shadow that day they got out together. We won't really know until the puppies are born." I sigh a little. Mark and I don't live to far away from each other, and one day both dogs had gotten out of the yards somehow. We found them after searching for hours playing with a stick at a park. "Well I'm sorry. I'll help out anyway I can seeing as Shadow probably caused this." I hear Mark's laugh on the other side, which makes me blush. I'm thankful that we're talking over the phone.

"It's alright. I didn't get her fixed either. You wanna come over here and help me set up a puppy nursery?" He asks. "Sure. Be there in five." I hung up. I sigh and slump to the floor. Shadow runs to me, tail wagging, to see what's going on. He gets in my face, and licks me. I push him away. "Shadow, I love you, but I'm not sure I trust where that tongue has been." He sits next to me anyway, and lays his head on my shoulder, trying to cheer me up. I pat his head. "No really, it's great that your love life probably just messed up mine." He gives me sad eyes, and tilts his head. I break. "Gah, you're too cute to be mad at." I give him a few more cuddles before leaving to go to Mark's house.

After a few minutes I'm at his house. "Six minutes you liar." He says as I enter the house. I have a spare keys or emergencies. "Wow that excited to see me?" I joke. I know he is kidding, but I'm still filled with hope that he was that anxious for me to get here. His face is a little pink. "Maybe." I hear him mumble. "I heard that." I tease. He goes red now. He's been doing that a lot recently. Maybe he isn't mad about the dog situation. Maybe he likes me back. Feeling a burst of confidence, I kiss his cheek as I walk past. "I know I'm awesome. Everyone's excited to see me." I say, not looking him in the eyes. I start walking away, but feel him grab my wrist. He pulls me towards him, kissing me without saying a word. I'm too shocked to do anything at first, but kiss back once I've gotten my brain together. I guess he got a burst of confidence too.

"I've liked you for awhile now, and would be honored if you would be my girlfriend." Mark says, obviously nervous as hell. "I'd love to. You wouldn't believe how long I've had a crush on you." He laughs a little before kissing me. "So is there actually work to be done, or did you invite me over just to kiss me?" I ask once we break. "Kiss you." He replies before kissing me again. Things get a little rougher this time. We make out for a few minutes before a certain pregnant dog walks between us. I laugh as he's shoved backward. I bend down to pet Chica. "Hey girly. Were we bothering you?" I ask. She just wags her tail as I pet her. "Walking between us is bothering me." Mark huffs quietly, so quietly that I probably wasn't supposed to hear. "We can continue later." I wink at him, and he gets red again.

It was quiet. Chica had given birth to 4 healthy puppies. Three girls and a boy. We waited a few weeks before Shadow met the puppies, as he get excited easily. Surprising he was pretty gentle when it came to the puppies, like he was trying very hard to be a father. Maybe he was, who knows with dogs. I did get Shadow fixed before the puppies were born, so maybe that helped him be calmer. Either way it's cute. Now all the dogs laid down to sleep, all cuddled together as a family.

Mark and I leave the room to go sit on the couch. We lay together, me on his chest. "It's real cute." I say. "It really is. A happy puppy family." He chuckles. I give him a short kiss. "That could be us on day." He says. I smile at him. "Maybe." We share a deep kiss, which turns into making out. He eventually tries to flip us over to be on top, which lands us on the floor. We laugh as we break apart. It's been like that ever since we got together. Anytime we tried to have a moment we got interrupted by something. Usually the dogs. Not that they know what they're doing. "Every time." He huffs. I chuckle. "We just have to make a night of it." I whisper, making him blush and give me hopeful eyes. "Come on you door, let's watch TV." We cuddle together again, watching Netflix. I'm soon lulled to sleep, happy with my amazing boyfriend next to me. I'm
