The poll said the second option. So here we are.
Majority rules.
Third Person
Grian sat in a wheelchair, watching his boyfriend practice the sword on the other side of the room.
With a sharp thrust, the sword went straight through the robots rib-cage, deactivating it. Wels pulled the sword out, signaling for the robot to go back to its holder.
Sheathing his sword, he walked over to Grian and said softly "So how is it so far? Not being able to walk?"
A shrug. "Fine, I guess. I can still make building plans at least. All I could really ask for."
Wels rested his hand on Grians shoulder. "That's good I suppose. Are you ready to tell the other hermits? They have been wondering where you have been for the last three months."
He sighed, staring at the window of Wels base. "I-I think I am. But what if they think I'm to weak?"
Wels removed his hand from Grian's shoulder and removed his helmet, tossing onto the ground. "They won't think your too weak. Don't you worry about that."
The winged hermit looked up at Wels. "But what if they do?"
Wels looked Grian straight in the eye "Then we are leaving to live in my old server."
He sighed softly and leaned back into the wheelchair. "Alright. Should they come here, or are you going to try and fly me again?"
Wels immediately chuckled "Oh that was a disaster. A close call, as well."
They both laughed at the memory.
Then Wels pulled up his communicator, typed something out, and sent it.
Welsknight: heyyyyyy. so im gonna reveal why grian was gone for so long... meet up at my base?
Xisumavoid: sure.
Grian nervously tapped a finger on the arm of the wheelchair. He was excited, but also nervous to see the hermits again.
This was nerve racking to him. From his experience, being crippled was being weak.
And weakness was exposed. Bluntly, and cruelly. Mercilessly.
Wels noticed Grians over-all demeanor and questioned quietly "Would you prefer to be in the backyard?" A rapid nod.
Grian began wheeling his way to the door, and Wels went ahead to open said door. Grian went onto the porch and breathed in the air.
The knight went back inside, and outside the front door. He spotted multiple players flying towards his house already, and he smiled.
Finally, the hermits landed, and Wels was leaning against the door and stated "Just wait for everyone else to arrive."
They chatted about what could have happened, and eventually everyone else arrived. And Wels let them in, making a beeline for the back door.
"He's back here." Swinging the door open, he revealed the backyard and Grian chilling in his wheelchair.
Immediately, there was a explosion of questions. Grian shut them up by yelling "Calm down! Alright? It was a creeper. Blew up next to me, I called Wels in a daze, and now I can't walk anymore!"
This resulted in a silence as the hermits registered this.
Suddenly, Wels said to Mumbo "Oi. We need to talk about something." and without waiting for a response, walked inside. Mumbo nervously followed.
The instant the door closed, Wels began ratting down on Mumbo. "Alright, just because he accidentally broke your creeper farm doesn't mean you get to skip the 'Oh, by the way, are you injured?' part of the protocol!"
"Simply because you forgot to do that, Grian is now paralyzed from the waist down. If you had asked him that, we would have caught the wound before his nerves severed themselves from the muscles in a attempt to stop the blood flow!"
"Actually, the only reason he is ALIVE right now is because two reasons! One, he was coherent enough to call me, two, the readers voted for the second option!"
(NO! BAD WELS! NO FOURTH WALL BREAKS. NOW I NEED TO FIX IT. *Begins collecting plaster and duck tap*)
A silence followed. Then, tentatively, Mumbo said softly "I-I... Nether gods... I'm so sorry..."
Wels graveled "Sorry's not gonna cut it Mumbo. The only thing that'll make Grian and I regain your trust is time, to be truthful."
(So I never look up to check the amount of words. I happened to glance up, and I hit 666 at that ". OH WAIT. SINCE THE WALL IS BROKEN I CAN COMMUNICATE!! *Crackles*)
Mumbo nodded slowly. "I'll remember that..."
Wels smiled and headed back outside, seeing Grian laughing with the hermits that were still there (Iskall, Ren, Impulse, Doc, Scar.)
He looked so happy.
