For the first time in her life, Catgirl ran towards a bank robbery.

A crime boss had just made their debut, and they'd robbed almost every bank in Gotham dry.

The only bank left was The Gotham Bank, the one most Gothamites used to keep their money safe.

Catgirl knew from experience that the vault there held millions.

If it were robbed dry a second time, it'd be shut down, so the least she could do to repay them for the first time was stop history repeating itself a second.

"Catgirl, what's your location?", Batman asked in her earpiece.

"Uh..", Catgirl took a quick glance at the street below as she made the jump to another rooftop, "Close."

She was still mad at Batman, but if she didn't stop this robbery it would be half her fault if the bank were shut down, as she was the one who originally robbed it dry, for her debut as Catgirl; When she was 4 she managed to get away with over 100 million USD, making her name as the youngest supervillain in history.

That was in 1998 though, how much money would be there in 2010?

"Robin, where are you?", Batman asked him for his location instead. Chances were, he'd actually give an answer.

Robin's mic was cut off with a few gunshots before he heavily breathed in response, "Hah...I'm..I'm inside.."

Catgirl tried to push herself to go even faster. She said she was close, but in reality, she was at the other end of the city, in South Gotham, where she'd just come from the last bank that was robbed. It was left near destroyed.

Knowing this was a big operation- one that didn't care about leaving evidence- the thought of Robin going into one of them while they were still active terrified her.

"How many?", Batman asked, referring to armed robbers.

"I don't know.", Robin breathed then winced, "But they're...they're not the usual goons, they're trained- mercenaries, I think. They were waiting for me...", he heaved as he got up, "Came out of nowhere. I- I got hit...bleeding now.."

Catgirl immediately presumed the worst was going to happen but refused to let anyone else she cared about die like this.

"Where are you inside the bank?", Batman asked, this time more seriously, "What's your exact location inside?"

"I locked myself in one of the cleared vaults." Robin weakly chuckled at this. "S'okay. Catgirl is nearby, so she'll get me out before...y'know."

"I'm at a bank in Blüdhaven, an hour away.", Batman sounded frustrated with him, "You're on your own until then."

"Blüdhaven?", Robin groaned, "Don't they have someone else to protect their banks?"

"No."

"Well they should..", Robin sounded almost delirious, "Catgirl, be my hero?" He went silent for a moment, presumably realising how he was acting. He confirmed that was the case, nervously chuckling, "I've not bled this much in...in a while..ah..."

"Nearly there!", Catgirl lied, trying to hide her worry, "I'm not far away at all!"

She hoped she wasn't too far.

He said he was shot, but failed to mention just how bad it was.

Part of her didn't want to know; with her currently level of worrying, she was struggling to make all her rooftop jumps as it was.
