An alarm woke Katherine up.

She hissed and covered her ears from the loud noise.

"Shit." The warmth left the space beside her as Roy leaped out of bed and ran to the alarm.

Katherine, now wide awake, sat up and glared.

"I'm sorry!" He put his hands up, quickly putting them down once he saw where Katherine eyes were. "Too early." he sheepishly chuckled, slowly going back to his spot in the bed.

Katherine quietly laughed, pressing a kiss on his shoulder before resting her head on it. "I thought you got fired from your job a few days ago. Why do you still have an alarm?"

"I got up for work at 6, it's 7." Roy pulled her a little closer.

Katherine awkwardly moved around his grip so she could look up at him.

She tilted her head a little in confusion, "Then why do you have an alarm?"

Roy smiled down at her, "I figured since you've been so stressed about everything you deserved a break today, and it just so happens to be Thanksgiving-"

"I hate holidays." Katherine stated, unamused.

"You've never had a holiday with me before." Roy grinned, "Plus Dinah's turkey recipe is invaluable..."

"You want to spend thanksgiving with Black Canary?" She was more confused than unamused now.

The last place Roy would want to be is sat across from his old mentor, Green Arrow.

"I think I hate her partner more than you hate holidays." Roy explained, "I'm just after the recipe."

"That she has." Katherine perked up, seeing where this was going. "Okay.." she heard him out, "Terrible idea, but I'm listening."

"The recipe is in her apartment on the other side of town." Roy explained, "League tech says The Justice League have a meeting all must attend at The Watchtower today, from 6am to 8am."

"Cutting it a little tight, aren't we?" Katherine tried to hide her excitement.

Not only were they going to break into a Justice League member's apartment, but said leaguer was Black Canary, and the heat was on.

So much for her plan of laying low with Roy.

"You were right, this really is a terrible idea.." Roy nervously laughed as he parked his car outside of Canary's apartment block. "And thanks to that broken traffic light back there we have less than 10 minutes to get the recipe and drive like hell."

Katherine leaned towards the window to see the top floor of the apartment block. "You said she had the penthouse, right?"

"Yeah, gift from...him."

He couldn't say the name, but Katherine understood.

She nodded and opened her door, looking back at Roy with a smile. "Honk if you see her." She said.

"But-"

Katherine got out of the car and slammed the door shut, stupidly grinning as she ran infront of the car and into the alley where the buildings trash was kept.

She quickly located the back door and picked the old lock on it.

Within seconds she was half way up the buildings many flights of stairs.
