Once you'd finally gotten to the dorms, you both unpacked quickly. Tsuyu grabbed her things as you put yours away, using up less than half of the room.
You put your small trinkets on one of the shelves, fitting a few pictures, too. Then, you put your clothes away (Like a normal person) and set up your art things on a table nearby. The bed was placed in the same area as the one in your house, with a long, 5x3 foot table for you to work on homework or drawings or inventions across from it. It was only that big because two people were in the room, otherwise you were sure it wouldn't even be half of that.
You set up a small cozy corner by the table, placing down your beanbag chair, a blanket, and one of your plushies. The other two went on the bed, on the side closest to the wall. By the time you'd finished all of this, Tsu came back with her things.
She helped you set up the Komaeda's quickly before making you go explore. She had said, and I quote, "You need to familiarize the building, kero. Besides, maybe you'll run into someone!" which was the exact opposite of what you wanted.
Still, you left so she would be happy. You found your way around pretty easily, going to the kitchen before anything else. The common room was connected, but separated by a door that you chose to leave closed. Your plan was to just get some water and make your way back upstairs. Sadly, the door (and students) didn't like that very much.
Just as you'd finished filling your glass, someone crashed through the door, shouting and laughing. You jumped, and inevitably, dropped the glass. It shattered on the floor, catching the attention on the boy. Before he could even say anything, you'd dropped to your knees to pick it up, mumbling a sorry.
The glass dug into your skin and only made a bigger mess with your blood, and you felt yourself about to cry. You hadn't even been here an hour and you'd already caused so much trouble!
"Hey, it's okay, don't cry! We need to get you bandaged up, and then we can think about cleaning the glass." The boy came crashing over to you, ignoring his friends calling out to him. You kept trying to clean up, ignoring him holding your hands back.
"But- but, I made a mess, a-and I need to clean it up or el-else I'll get in trouble!" You looked up at him, eyes wide. Finally getting a good look at him, the first thing you noticed was his hair. For some reason, he had it slicked back, though there didn't appear to be any gel in it.
There was also the matter of the thing behind him. I don't know what you expected, but a tail wagging slowly behind him was not something you thought you'd see today.
"Hey, it's okay. I've probably broken more than this, and I'm only one student. There's 19 more, no need to feel bad. Let's just go get you fixed up, alright? I'll call in Hagakure and she'll fix this while we-"
"No! I can clean it! It's fine!"
"But-you're bleeding. It's really fine, we can take care of i-"
"No! I made the mess, I'll clean it up! Really, I'm fine, I'll bandage my hands when I'm done!" Tail boy only sighed releasing your hand.
"You're Asui's girlfriend, right?" You nodded, watching him walk over to the closet as you swept more broken glass into a pile. "I guess she was right, then. You aren't always responsible, you know. Sometimes, things happen. No fixing that, so why worry?" He brought out a broom, sweeping up the glass before you could hurt yourself more.
"At my house, I'm responsible for everything. Every mess or slight inconvenience is pinned on me. It's always my job to clean up, to take the fall, and to make sure everything is in order." Tail guy nodded, handing you a wet reg.
"If you really want to clean, then here. But make sure you take care of your hands after, alright? Can't really build anything if every movement is pain." You nodded, letting him leave the room. "By the way, I'm Ojirou."
"I'm (Y/N). Nice to meet you, Ojirou!" You shot him a smile as he left, finally relaxing.
You finished cleaning quickly, making your way back up to your room. There was a first aid kit up there, so you'd just fix your hand once you reached it. Or at least, you thought you would, until Tsuyu noticed it.
"What did you do?!" She screeched, slinging open the first aid kit in sheer panic. She bandaged your hands so quickly that you hardly even had time to start speaking.
"I got startled in the kitchen and dropped a glass."
"That doesn't explain how your hands got cut, kero."
"I tried to clean up the glass with my hand."
"(Y/N)," Tsuyu sighed, pinching her nose and hiding a smile. "What am I gonna do with you, kero?" You bit back your self deprecating remark, instead smiling at her laughing form. She pulled you into a quick hug, still chuckling.
"So, what do you want to do now?" You asked, clinging to the monochromatic bear in your arms. Tsuyu thought for a moment before her eyes lit up.
"Let's go on a date!"
"A what now?"
