Tsuyu convinced you to go out for ice cream and a movie. You tried to get her to let you pay for the ice cream, but she wouldn't budge. She only said that it was her treat, and that she refused to let the pretty lady pay. You found that pretty ironic, considering she was the prettiest girl you knew.
Soon enough, you both had ice cream and about five hours before you had to head back to the dorms. You sat down in a small booth, trying to avoid being around many people. You both just wanted to eat ice cream and have fun with each other, and to do that not many other people needed to be involved.
Unluckily for both of you, fuckboys can't take hints and often ignore this.
"Hey there, and how might you be doing?" A random boy that, i'd like to mention, you've never met before, waltzed up to your table and interrupted Tsuyu. You pretended to be deaf and ignored him.
"Why'd you stop talking?" You questioned her, pretending not to see the man. She mouthed out "this guy is talking to us" making you nod. You looked up at him, an innocent smile plastered on your features. "Can I help you sir?"
"Yeah, I forgot my number, could I get yours?"
"Sorry, if you called me I wouldn't be able to hear. I'm deaf."
"Then I could text you, since it's so much easier to talk like that." He smirked, making you even more annoyed. Still, you didn't let it show. Tsuyu was doing as well in that area.
"I'll pass. You're not my type, anyways."
"I'm sure I could be the exception, though." Tsuyu was close to growling. You just made your smile grow even more, keeping him unprepared for your next sentence.
"I highly doubt that. As a matter of fact, you'll never even be close to my type. Your masculinity is too fragile to give up for a girl."
"Types change, little lady. I'm sure if you just gave me a chance, I-"
"Unless you've got boobs and a pussy, you'll never be an exception." He startled back a bit, almost crashing into a waitress before catching his cool.
"So you're a lesbian, huh? You nodded, watching as he did that one arm lean on your booth chair. "Well, you won't know if you like guys unless you try one out, right?"
"I'll pass. Even as a guy, you don't compare to some of the ones in my class."
"Class? Hold on, how old are you?"
"I'm fifteen."
"For real? You look way older. You could pass for a 21 year old, if you want to see a bar or something I could get you a fake ID.
"Again, I'll pass. I'm too busy working on my projects, and they take a lot of time. I build each of them by hand, so I'm really busy."
"Ah, so you're good with your hands, huh? Besides building, what else can you do with them?"
"I could strangle you, for starters." He cleared his throat, moving his arm off of your booth.
"Alright, what school do you go to? Maybe I could come see you there sometime."
"UA. So does my girlfriend, the girl you've been ignoring this whole time. I'm in the support course, she's in the hero course."
"Alright, alright, I'll leave you be. I just have one more question."
"Go ahead then."
"How can you tell what I'm saying if you're deaf?"
"I mean, I can read lips, but I'm not deaf. I was just hoping that if I didn't respond, you'd catch on and leave."
"That's a mean thing to do, lying to someone."
"It's also rude to continually try to get with a girl that said no, kero. So if I were you, I would've left the second she turned down your first pickup line." Tsuyu barked out, making the man turn his attention to her.
"Hey, chill out, no harm no foul, right?"
"What I find hilarious is that you came over and hit on my soulmate in front of me, kero. Or that you didn't take the hint when she asked why I'd stopped talking, or when she said she wouldn't give you her number, or when she told you weren't her type."
"What, am I not allowed to hit on girls or something?"
"We'd prefer you didn't. Roughly 2% of girls under eighteen go out with friends and hope for boys to flirt with them. That means that roughly 98% of the girls in Musutafu just want to hang out with the people they know without being treated like objects by strangers. So, if you'd please leave us alone now, I'm trying to go on a date with my girlfriend." You shooed him away with your hands, watching him huff off.
"Well, that was... definitely something. Are those really the statistics, kero?"
"Yeah, they're a bit old, but roughly 98% of the girls in Musutafu didn't want guys to flirt with them. It's a study from 2001, I found it in middle school."
"You'll have to show it to me, kero. For now though," She dolloped ice cream on your nose, laughing a bit. "Let's finish our ice cream so we can catch that mo-(Y/N), are you attempting to eat that?" She watched as you attempted to lick your nose and failed miserably.
"Yeah? Ice cream is ice cream, Tsu." She only laughed as you continued to struggle.
