"We think she's lost all memories of the past few months." Your bleary eyes stayed closed to avoid the bright light bouncing off the walls. You assumed you were still in the hospital, which made sense. What didn't add up was the fact that you perfectly remembered the last few months.

Every awful thing that had happened with the league was fresh in your memory. It wasn't going away any time soon, and you doubted it would ever fade.

"What?! What do you mean, kero?" Who was that? She sounded vaguely familiar, but you had no clue where you'd seen her before.

"We believe that she's lost all memories since the attack. We won't know for sure until she's awake, but with her hair returning to its (H/C) color, we have to assume that it no longer happened in her mind." The girl was silent, and you felt bad for her. She must have lost someone important to her, maybe a sister or a soulmate, to be this distraught.

"Will she ever get her memories back?" The girls voice cracked ever so slightly. The doctor guy sighed, rearranging the clipboard in his hands. The rustling sound grated on your already sensitive ears, churning the pain in your skull. You reached up to grab at your head, only to immediately be grabbed by someone.

Your eyes flew open, jerking away from the person as your breathing grew faster. You couldn't focus on the girl who'd touched you, your mind flew back to every time someone in the league did anything. You were mortified, shrinking in on yourself.

"(Y/N)?" The girls voice echoed through your ears, radiating calm throughout you. You had no clue why she seemed so familiar, why she could calm you down so easily, why you felt so safe with her, but you didn't like it. It scared you to think that your brain could let you get hurt again.

You couldn't speak. You could only look up at her with wide eyes, terror echoing through them. She looked scared for you, which didn't aid in your confusion.

"(Y/N), please calm down, we aren't here to hurt you." You looked over at the doctor guy as he signaled for the girl to move away from you a bit. She did, albeit reluctantly, and you relaxed slightly. "Can you tell me what you remember?"

You looked down, gesturing for paper. He handed you his clipboard, which you gladly took.

    I just got back.

"From where, (Y/N)?" You thought a moment.

An old run down building near the Celsh Mall.

"So the last thing you remember is being taken from the league?" You nodded, trying your hardest to block out the thoughts. For some reason, it was happening semi-easily. "(Y/N), that happened nearly four months ago."

You gave him a confused look, letting out a silent laugh. When he didn't laugh with you, you grew more concerned.

"No, no, I was just there, you're lying." You signed quickly panicking slightly. Finally, you looked over to the girl. "He's lying, right? There's no way that's true, no, it's not true, liar!" You looked frantically back and forth between them as the monitor next to you sped up a bit. The doctor rushed over to you, trying to calm you down. His hands fell quickly on your shaking arms, and your mind flew into overdrive.

"Don't touch me!" You yelled. You froze, mouth hanging open as your voice came out way clearer than it should've. You hadn't talked in months, it should've been weaker. Your mind faded in and out of memories as they continued trying to shake you out of it. You wondered, vaguely, when they'd realize that they'd need to stop.

The girls warm hands carefully cupped your head, landing on your hair as she whispered words to you. The doctors hands left as she spoke, and you slowly drifted to sleep as the newly colored hair faded out of your sight.

When you woke up again, the girl appeared to be asleep in the chair next to you. You took that opportunity to get a decent look at her and take in her features.

Her long green hair flowed freely over her shoulder, a small kink formed in the bottom six inches of her hair where you assumed it was usually tied up. Her long, spiked bangs fell to the side of her face, making it look like her hair was parted down the left side as her head leaned to the right. She had longer eyelashes underneath her eyes, but that was harder to see when they were closed.

The girls mouth never once turned up into a smile, but her tongue poked out every few minutes. She reminded you a lot of a frog, which was probably something to do with her quirk.

As your eyes trailed over her body, you realized where you recognized her from. She was one of the girls in 1A, the one that knew what Monoma said about you, the one that told the other 1A kids what he said, the one that left you on the roof all alone that day.

She had a good form, probably from hero training. Her arms looked like they'd be able to take down any villain, it looked like she could open a beer with her stomach, and her legs looked like they could suffocate any villain. Still though, you refused to acknowledge that she was cute. As far as you knew, she was just as bad as-

Nope, not happening, not again, you weren't doing that, it wasn't safe to think back to that. You'd get hurt, and then nothing would ever get better, and you'd always be in pain, until one day you just died.

As your breathing slowed slightly, a strand of hair made its way into your face. The vibrant colors surprised you, and you held it up a bit more to inspect it.

The usually black hair was now a pastel rainbow, meaning someone either went through the trouble to bleach and dye it or your soulmate touched it. You believed it was the second one, because your hair felt just as healthy as it had before, if not better after the nurses washed it.

You looked over at the girl, the dots finally connecting. When she hugged you earlier, she must have touched your hair, and-

Oh.

Oh god.

You had a soulmate.

What if she was like Dabi? Or Shigaraki? Or even Toga?

No, no thinking about them, not happening, not again, you weren't doing that, it wasn't safe to think back to that. Not again, not right now, not happening, you ignored the thoughts. If you truly had lost your memories then you knew how to stop them somehow, right?

Clearly not, since they were still coming one after the other. Your panic attack grew worse and worse as you stayed silent, keeping from waking up the girl next to you. Tears streamed down your face as you finally fell into a dissociative fit, and eventually asleep.
