It was too loud in the water park. Everyone was running around, screaming and laughing and driving you to sensory overload. Bakugou didn't want to swim much, so he sat with you in the shallow end of the kiddie pool and pretended he hadn't looked down at your uncovered legs.

He talked to you for a bit, helping you keep your jacket dry and splashing water on your legs if you made a bad joke. It was enjoyable until a blonde boy came crashing through the water, soaking your hoodie and effectively scaring you.

"Dunce face!" Bakugou's yelling didn't help, but it wasn't as bad as the boy. "You just soaked her! Fucking apologize!"

"(Y/N)?" Blondy ignored Bakugou, staring intensely at you. You grabbed Bakugou's hand in fear, assuring yourself that he was still there. "I didn't realize you'd come! Why aren't you swimming?"

"Leave her alone, Dunce face." Bakugou growled, sparking a bit in his other hand. Blondy backed off, hands in the air. He apologized again as he ran off, unfazed by what had just happened. You, on the other hand, were shaking like a leaf.

Bakugou didn't appear to notice, because he flopped backwards so he was now laying in the water. His loud sigh told you that he had no clue what was happening in your mind, and you were grateful.

You looked out at the play structure, watching the children running around with their friends. It calmed you somehow, just seeing the kids happy and safe and protected. You couldn't wait until you had one with Tsu.

And that was enough to turn you bright red, also leading you to cover your face with your hands. Why was that a thing that your brain decided to circulate?

It wasn't wrong, and you couldn't help but imagine what your kid would be like, but in the middle of a waterpark was not a good place to be thinking about that. All of her classmates were here, along with strangers and kids from other classes. For all you knew, one of them could read your mind, and your thoughts would get back to Tsu and she'd think you were disgusting for it.

She probably wouldn't, you knew the thought was irrational, but you couldn't help but believe that she'd hate you for assuming she'd stay with you for that long. You wanted to, but why would she want to stick around? You had constant nightmares, couldn't remember more than half of your time with her, and couldn't talk or be touched easily.

No, you decided, she was never to hear about the things you thought of. She'd surely leave after high school, so best not to give her more reasons to. Right?

Speaking of Tsu, where was she?

She'd agreed to leave you with Bakugou at the Kiddie Pool while she'd gone to mess around in the actual water, but this park was huge. How were you going to find her when she didn't even have her phone? And you couldn't really get in the water, people were already giving your legs strange looks. Imagine what they'd think if they saw your torso, littered in burns and other scars.

You really wanted to go swimming, too. The water looked really calming and refreshing. But with so many kids and other strangers around, you couldn't help but feel like you'd ruin their day just by taking off your jacket.

You'd draw, but with so much water around it was a risk to even pull it out of your bag. There wasn't much to do at a waterpark if you couldn't be in the water, and the boredom was starting to hit you hard.

Bakugou noticed, but his question was cut off by a boom coming from the other side of the park. Smoke billowed everywhere, and bile rose in your throat. Tsuyu might be over there, and she could be in a lot of danger if she was.

You tried to run to the area, just to assure yourself she was fine, but Bakugou grabbed you and led you the other way.

"This could be a fucking villain, pipsqueak. Stay out of danger."

"But Tsu-"

"Will be fine. Frog Face is a hero in training, remember? She can hold her own against some shitty villain."

Bakugou dragged you to a small space, where you'd be hidden well from the attack. They wouldn't find you unless they looked extremely hard, not that you doubted they wouldn't.

You grabbed two kids on the way, who seemed separated from their parents and scared. They followed you like lost puppies, the boy gripping your hand like his life depended on it.

Bakugou gently shoved you into the spot, and you complied since there were others to protect now. But when he didn't follow, you jumped up a bit.

"Bakugou!" You whisper-yelled, trying to stay quiet.

"I'm gonna go check it out. You stay here, and we'll come get you when it's safe. Okay?" You nodded, not liking the idea but not wanting to fight in front of these kids.

More explosions echoed around the park. You assumed these were Bakugou, or some other 1A student, but you couldn't be sure. Every blow cracked your heart a bit more.

You refused to cry in front of these kids. You had to be strong for them, so they weren't too scared.

The little girl clutched her brother's hand, and he sat on your lap and hugged you for dear life. You kept an arm around him and an arm around his sister, who seemed more calm. Something told you that she was only super worried about her brother, which you couldn' fault her for. After all, you were more worried about Tsuyu than the actual attack.

Time passed by too slowly in your small hiding spot. About halfway through your wait, the park had gone really quiet. No more explosions, but no cheers or shouts to signal that it was over. You'd stayed hidden, still wary of what that meant for the safety of these kids.

You must've been hidden for twenty minutes before the walking sound started. Your heart sped up as the steps grew closer and closer to your spot, and you couldn't help but think that they knew exactly where you were. So, you quietly moved the kids behind you, and prepared to fight.
