"Monoma, please go away, class is starting soon." I tried to keep it calm, but my voice decided at that exact moment to crack.
"Aw, is the little unlovable loser gonna cry? Just face it, nobody will ever enjoy your presence. Just go jump and die, mistake." By now I had actually started tearing up, but luckily, he couldn't see my face. So, I tore away from him and ran away. I skipped first period, nobody came looking for me. I skipped second period, nobody. Finally lunch rolled around. I had completely forgotten about the boys from earlier, and stayed hidden on the roof.
At some point, I heard the door open to enter my safe haven, but it didn't register in my mind until the feet stopped next to me. At that point, it also registered that my arms were visible. It had gotten hot earlier, so I took off my long sleeved jacket. I flung myself away from whoever was there, only to land next to another set of feet. I, of course, being the rational person I am, decided to scream. I still didn't know who was there, and apparently there was more than one. Not good. At all.
"Are you okay? We didn't see you in the lunchroom." I looked up to see the broccoli boy. I then proceeded to make eye contact with three other people. A girl with short brown hair, a boy with cool blue hair, and broccoli's boyfriend. I just nodded and hid my arms. The only one who could see them was broccoli's boyfriend. I gotta learn these people's names, or I'm just gonna name them based on their appearances.
"Yeah, I'll, um, I'll be fine. I just, um, didn't, go to class this morning." The boy with short blue hair went to speak, but the girl covered his mouth. At that exact moment, the door opened again.
"Hello? Guys, I didn't find her, ker-oh! Hi, I'm Tsuyu Asui." The most beautiful girl ever walked through the doors and made her way towards us. She had long, dark green hair, big black eyes, and looked adorable in the uniform. She looked like her quirk had something to do with frogs, which I found even cuter. Frogs had always been pretty high on my favorite animal list, but never #1.
Panicky and terrible thoughts were rushing through my head faster than a great dane. The brown haired girl spoke up.
"I'm Uraraka!"
"I am Tenya Ida, hello!" The boy with blue hair was doing funny things with his arms. I laughed a little, and I saw Uraraka and Broccoli sway on their feet for a brief second. I thought they'd fall, but it was fine.
"Todoroki." The boy with multicolored hair, who was also Broccoli's boyfriend, said. He seemed really cool, and reminded me of kids at my old school, so I slowly backed away.
"And I'm Midoriya! What's your name?" Broccoli asked. I guess he's Midoriya, now.
"I'm (Y/N), but that's not really important. Why'd you try to find me? I've been gone all day, and nobody's come looking, so why you guys?"
"Do you not enjoy us being here? We'll leave if you'd like." Todoroki spoke. His words hurt a little, but I tried to ignore the way he said it.
"It's not that, I just. I don't understand, is all. Not even my best friend sent me a text, yet you went through the effort to find me without even knowing my name." Asui chose this exact moment to correct me.
"Actually, I knew your name. I just didn't know it was you that Midoriya told us about." She scratched her neck, a sheepish smile on her face.
"How did you know me? I'm not exactly the most social person." I smiled. For once in what must have been weeks, I truly smiled.
"I hear Monoma talking to yo-" I jumped up, panicked.
"He's not here, is he?" They all shook their heads quickly.
"But, yeah, I hear what he says to you in the hallways or during lunch." She gave me a pitiful look. God, I hate pity.
"Oh, he's just joking." I waved at her, trying to dismiss the subject.
"Wait, (L/N), what does Monoma say to you?" Midoriya questioned. I saw red on Todoroki's face when Midoriya tilted his head. True love, I guess.
"Oh, nothing of importance. He's just joking, anyway, so it's fine." I smiled, trying to let it go.
"(L/N), what he says doesn't sound like jokes. It's mean, and hurtful, and cruel, kero . You do realize that, right?" Asui exposed me. She told them, and now I'll have to explain why he says that.
"(L/N), what does Monoma say?" I heard Ida question me from behind Uraraka.
I put my head down, finding my shoes very interesting. "Just that nobody will ever love me, and that I'm useless so I might as well go die. But it's fine, 'cause he's right. There's no reason to deny it, so it's fine." I gave them a close eyed smile.
Midoriya and Todoroki looked at each other, nodded, then left without another word. Uraraka tried to comfort me, but I shrunk away from her touch. It was an old habit, but I didn't want to break it. Uraraka sighed and stood up again.
"Let's go, guys." She beckoned Ida and Asui to follow her. Once they were off the roof, I cried. My scars were still visible, but it was too hot to put on my hoodie, so instead I doodled flowers and dots all over until they were hidden. (A/N:Literally how I hide mine) I stayed up there for what felt like forever, but was probably only ten minutes, before I heard another noise. This one sounded like people walking onto the roof from the farthest ledge, which didn't make sense.
A/N:
Hola, I'm sorry this is late, I was out of town and couldn't update. I'm going to try and update again today with an easter special, because after this the story isn't exactly the happiest. I have a lot of writing to do today, but I promise I'll upload that today! I promised myself I'd do it, so that's what's gonna happen! It won't follow the regular storyline, so there'll be plenty of happiness and cheer! That's rarely in my stories... anyways, thanks for reading!
