Richie was on his bed, looking at the ceiling, thinking of all the possible situations of this weekend being the best one of Eddie's life. He really wanted to make it happen, after all, he liked Eddie, but it wasn't the same as liking Bill or Stanley, it was more than this. He could be in the worst mood possible, but Eddie's smile could change his day.

He took a deep breath and drew a heart, and within it, he wrote R+E. He frowned, looking at the drawing.

Was this feeling real? Was it "just a phase"? For all of his life until now he had had only interest in girls, but now was different, his crush was a boy, and this boy was Eddie Kaspbrak, his childhood best friend.

And this was confusing him, he didn't want to let it go though, he felt good, but again, confused. He checked his watch, it was almost the time to meet the short boy.

He gulped, and quickly got ready, he put on a MUSE black shirt, a pair of blue jeans pants, and slipped on his dark purple sneakers. It was time.

Richie went downstairs, greeted goodbye to his parents, grabbed his bike and rode towards the Kaspbrak's house.

After a few minutes riding his bike, he finally arrived and saw Eddie with Mrs. Kaspbrak in the front porch of the house. By her face, Richie could assume that she was quite disappointed, or maybe not, because after all, that was actually her normal mood everytime he visited Eddie.

"Good evening, mrs Kaspbrak, hey Eddie."

"Good evening, Tozier" said Sonia, nonchalantly.

Richie glanced at Eddie and instead of doing one of his famous quips, he simply raises his hand and waves at him, saying a simple "hey."

"Hey, Richie." Eddie said, waving back at him.

"Soo..." said Sonia, breaking the awkward silence "Eddie bear, do you have your inhaler with you?"

"yes mom."

"Aspirin? Kleenex? insect repellent?"

"yeah, mom, I got them all here, don't worry."

"Okay, sweetheart" she said, gently kissing Eddie's forehead. She looked at Richie and stated "Take care of him, I got my eyes on you, Tozier."

Richie gulped and grinned. "Of course I will, Mrs Kaspbrak."

Eddie went towards Richie and sat on his bike.

"Bye mom" shouted Eddie.

"Bye, my Eddie bear!"

As soon as Richie started pedaling, Eddie held him, making Richie blush. He started going faster, but being careful about Eddie.

"Everything okay back there?" he asked.

"Yep." Eddie simply said.

Few minutes later, they arrived at Richie's home. Richie leaned his bike against the garage, and went back to the front door, where Eddie was standing.

"Mi casa su casa" Richie said, doing the Spanish accent, making Eddie chuckle.
