"Remember when you asked me about Strawberries and Chocolates?" Richie said.

Eddie licked his ice cream and looked at Richie's. "Oh my, I can not believe you actually did this."

"What?" Richie innocently asked. "Are you telling me... that you didn't see the giant poster announcing the new strawberry chocolate flavor." He said.

Eddie blushed, and licked his classic vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce.

"Don't you find it weird?" Says Eddie, looking at the place and breathing deep into the open air. "Our meeting be here when it could be in an all fancy restaurant?"

Richie shrugged, smiled, and licked his ice cream.

One more sunny day in Derry, now it was still less for the big Ball (one day, to be exact). Richie and Eddie were in an ice cream parlor in the natural park, not far from their house.

On the table, a bottle of water, a napkin holder, and a curious folded paper Richie had left there for some reason.

"After savoring this wonderful ice cream, I can say that I prefer... The chocolate flavor." Richie said, finishing his ice cream.

Eddie rolled his eyes and chuckled. "How am I with you?"

Richie propped his elbow on the table and put his hand on his chin. He smiled, and shrugged.

"And what's about this paper you put here?" Eddie said.

He quickly grabbed it, blushed. "U-uhm..." He stuttered.

Eddie frowned. "Are you okay?"

Richie took a deep breath. "Eddie... Do you trust me?" He said.

"Oh Chee... You know I do."

"This is a letter, you just have to open it when you arrive home, don't message me about it, just answer on the Ball day, okay?"

"Richie, you're worrying me." Eddie said, grabbing Richie's hand. "What's happening?"

"Nah... No... It's nothing, just do what I said, okay?" He said, handing Eddie the paper. "Keep it."

Eddie grabbed the paper, and Richie pushed him to a hug.

Later that day

Eddie rushed to his room, and jumped on the bed, opening quickly Richie's letter.

He started reading it.

"Hi, Eddie.

I'm sorry if I acted strange today (If you asked about the paper, I indeed acted weird, so I'm really sorry about it, at the moment I'm writing this, I'm really nervous.)

I just wanted to tell you something that I don't think I would dare say in person. I don't know if you know, but you changed my life. Yes, you saved me. And I appreciate it.

That day you ran to Barrens and almost died, only I know how desperate I was, because if you died, it would be my fault, and I could not live with it.

When you called me to be your date at the ball, I froze, I didn't know what to say, because I could not open my mouth to talk to you, and this is happening to me for a long time, everytime I see you, because I really like you...

I love you very much. And I would like to know something ...

...do you want to be my boyfriend?"

A few tears fell on the letter, and Eddie was smiling. "Yes" he whispered.
