The morning arrived shortly after, the sun shining on the lone house on the grass, its light passed through the window and hit Richie's face, he woke up and wrinkled his face, bothered by the sunlight.

Eddie was resting on his chest, sleeping, that was something rare to happen since they moved, which made Richie think if it was a good idea. Eddie needed to sleep, even if it was for a few minutes.

But before he could think again, when Richie moved his chest while yawning, he made Eddie wake up.

- Good morning, sunshine. - Richie said, which made Eddie give a small smile.

- Good morning. - Kaspbrak said.

- Do you want to rest some more? We have some time, I'll prepare the breakfast.

- I'm not hungry, Chee.

- Eddie, we need to eat before we can go. - Richie said. - Besides, you need to sleep.

- I already slept, I'm fine, Richie.

- I'm not kidding, Eddie, please, at least just stay on the bed... for me.

- Okay... - Eddie said, taking a deep breath. - Okay.

Eddie leaned his head against the headboard and looked at the window, uneasy, and began to bite his nails.

- Eddie... - Richie sat next to him. - We will find them, okay? They'll make it. I know them as much as you do.

Tozier put his hand on Eddie's shoulder, and started to inhale and exhale, showing Eddie how to control himself.

- Eaaasy... eeeasy... - Richie said. - I'm here with you. Anything you want, just call me, okay?

- Yes. - Eddie said.

- Do you want me to turn on the television? At least in that region there is still electricity. - Richie said, now leaning on the doorway, and Eddie shook his head.

Richie walked into the kitchen and separated the ingredients needed for a nutritious breakfast, they would need something that would sustain them for a long time.

The house had enough resources for months, but that didn't take away the importance of saving what they had. Not mentioning the natural resources like fruits and some vegetables, and for their luck, some of them were already grown up and perfect for harvesting.

Richie made the classic "bacon and eggs", some pancakes and toasts, he even tried to prepare coffee for the first time, and it turned out to be very good.

- Eddie, breakfast's ready! - Richie said.

No sign of Eddie Kaspbrak, which made Richie worried.

- Shit. - He mumbled. - Eddie... honey? - He said.

Nothing.

- Eddie... - He said, going upstairs, heading for the bedroom - Eddie!

Richie arrived at their room, and for his relief, there was Eddie, but he was astonished by something, it was the TV. Eddie decided to turn it on, and unfortunately, it was the News channel, which the headliner said "VIRAL OUTBREAK IN DERRY, MAINE"

- Derry's situation is worrying and frightening, a type of virus never seen and cataloged by science before it managed to destroy this city in a matter of days, Derry imploded and the Maine's Government is deciding whether it is worth it to free up money to rebuild the city.

- Bullshit. - Eddie mumbled as he turned off the TV.

- Eddie? - Richie said. - Are you okay?

- Yeah, it's just... it's bullshit, Richie, they won't rebuild Derry.

Richie tried to say something, but instead he just nodded.

- Breakfast's ready, honey. - He said.

- Okay. Thanks, Richie.

- For what?

Eddie gave a small smile, approached Richie and hugged him. - For everything.

- You're welcome... I guess... come on, babe, let's eat. - Richie kissed Eddie's head and they both went to the kitchen to have breakfast.

Later that morning, Richie was finishing packing his bag while Eddie was on the porch, looking at the landscape.

- You ready? - Richie said as he walked closer to Eddie and leaned on a column.

- Yep. Just admiring the view... Are ya?

- Sure, let's go. - He said.

Eddie grabbed Richie's hand and they both went to the stables to get on their horse, named Jonah. Richie was on the front and Eddie was holding him, he started making Jonah walk and they left home, heading to Derry.
