The next day

Janette must have fallen asleep on the sofa. When she woke up and realised that it was morning, she wondered why Aljaz either hadn't woken her up or wasn't curled up next to her. She went upstairs and found him in bed and she knew then that something was definitely wrong between them.

Aljaz hadn't woken up when Janette had jumped in the shower and got dressed. He went downstairs and found Janette finishing a conversation on the phone with her mum. When Janette had finished, part of her wanted to talk to Aljaz about why he was being weird with her but the other part didn't wanna cause the baby anymore stress. Aljaz didn't say anything to her so she just got her coat, bag and went to get some air to calm down and try to figure out how she was going to handle this.

While she was out she bumped into her best friend Karen who took one look at her and instantly knew something was wrong with her best friend. When Karen asked Janette if she was ok, Janette just broke down. They found somewhere to sit and Karen comforted Janette until she was calm enough to talk. After Janette had explained everything that had happened from her finding out she was pregnant, to the scan, telling Aljaz about her past and everything else Karen just sat there trying to get her head around everything. When she had digested everything, she could see it from her best friends perspective and Aljaz's, she could tell that she'd have to explain her advice in a way that wouldn't upset Janette anymore.

Karen was just about to offer Janette her advice when her best friend received a text from the love of her life. Janette's face went from being happy that he remembered her to dropping with what it said. Karen could tell that whatever had been sent wasn't good, she waited for Janette to tell or show her what it said. Once Karen had seen the message, she knew that she had to do something before her best friend lost the love of her life.
