Leaving Noah with Ava

As Aljaz and I were busy rehearsing all day for the strictly Blackpool special on the weekend and Chloe and Ashley had a pregnancy class that Ava couldn't go to she offered to have Noah to keep herself busy plus she knew that it would help Aljaz and I out.

Ava had stayed over last night as it'd be easier and all of Noah's things were here.

Noah started to stir so Ava went to see to him. Aljaz had picked him up so he was a bit better.

Aljaz: "you sure you're going to be ok?"
Ava: "we'll be absolutely fine. Go have fun rehearsing"

Aljaz passed Noah to Ava and finished getting ready. Ava brought Noah downstairs where she'd heard me.

Ava: "you ok?"
Janette: "yeah"
Ava: "you sure?"
Janette: "nope"
Aljaz: "what's wrong princess?"
Janette: "maybe I should stay here"
Ava: "Aljaz take Noah, I need to borrow Janette a minute"

Ava and I went into the front room leaving Aljaz and Noah in the kitchen.

Ava: "what's wrong?"
Janette: "honestly, I don't want to be away from Noah, like what if he has a meltdown or something?"
Ava: "do you know what you need?"
Janette: "what"
Ava: "a massive hug and to have some fun with your friends. Noah and I will be absolutely fine. I'll message you with updates if it'll make you feel better and we can FaceTime at lunch so you can see him. I promise if anything happens you'll be the first person I message"
Janette: "thanks sweetie. You sure about the updates?"
Ava: "if it'll keep you calmer and help you get through today then of course I will"
Janette: "it will."
Ava: "that's what we'll do. Now go have some fun with your friends and husband and I promise you'll be home before you know it"

I felt a bit better so we went back to the kitchen where Ava took Noah back from Aljaz. Aljaz and I made sure we had everything and left.

When Aljaz and I arrived at rehearsals, I quickly messaged Ava

Thanks for this morning. Hope he's behaving himself and you're having fun.

It's ok, here if you ever need to talk. He always behaves. We're just about to go to the park. Say hi to Amy from me.

During rehearsals all I could think about was whether or not Noah was behaving for Ava. The others could tell that something was up but none of them asked me if I was ok. I couldn't wait for our lunch break so I could FaceTime Ava to see her and Noah. All I really wanted was a hug from Ava as they always make me feel better.

As soon as we were told that we were on our lunch break I grabbed my phone to FaceTime Ava.

Ava managed to get to the corner before her phone went off with my id flashing.

Janette: "hey"
Ava: "hey, how are rehearsals going?"
Janette: "good thanks. Missing you both. How's Noah?"
Ava: "turn to your right"
Janette: "why?"
Ava: "trust me"

I turned to my right, saw them and ran up the street to see them.

Janette: "is he ok?"
Ava: "apart from being absolutely shattered from all the park equipment he's good"
Janette: "what are you doing here?"
Ava: "I realised that the park was close to the studio, you'd be on lunch soon so I messaged Aljaz and we thought we'd surprise you"
Janette: "thank you. I love it"
Ava: "it's ok"

We sat down on the steps outside the studio with the other pros talking then Ava heard someone yell her name and instantly knew who it was; Amy.

Ava: "heyyyyyyy"
Amy: "heyyyyyy"
Ava: "missed you"
Amy: "missed you too. What you doing here?"
Ava: "I took Noah to the park this morning then we thought we'd surprise you all"
Amy: "looks like he had fun"
Ava: "he definitely did"

When our lunch break was over, Ava said bye to all of us and took Noah home. She could tell that I didn't want them to leave but Ava told me that it would be over and I'd be home soon.

When Ava and Noah left, I felt my heart break; I knew I'd see them in a few hours, but it didn't mean that I didn't want the time to go quicker.

After what felt like forever we could go home. "You ok princess?" "Yeah, just missing the kids. Thanks for the surprise at lunch" "it was Ava's idea but I could tell that you needed cheering up" "I did need it. Can we just go home; I wanna be with the kids" "if that's what the princess wants then that's what the princess gets"

We said bye to the other pros and went home. We thought about texting Ava to say that we were on our way but we thought we'd surprise them. Ava must have known that we were on our way home as when we got close to the house Aljaz and I could see her and Noah in the window waiting for us. As soon as I saw them I ran the rest of the way and straight up the steps. When I got in, I gave them a massive hug and it felt good to be home. "What's up?" "Just missed my kids; I know I saw you both a few hours ago but I still missed you and this afternoon dragged on forever" Aljaz appeared next to us. "Has Janette been like this all afternoon?" "Yeah, she's missed you and couldn't wait to get home" "we've missed you too. Why don't you go have a shower while my assistant chef and I start dinner then we can catch up?" "You sure? Don't you need to get back for Chloe?" "She's had a bit of a rough day so I'm giving her and Ashley some time together to talk about it. I spoke to Ashley when we left you and he promised that he'd get Chloe to message me if she needed me" "as long as you're sure, you know that you're welcome and can stay as long as you want" "thanks"

Aljaz and I went to get changed while Ava and Noah started dinner. "You seem happier now princess" "yeah, I'm back with my kids and my daughter is staying and making dinner" "hopefully it'll help Chloe" "yeah. Shall we go back downstairs?" "Yeah"

We walked in the kitchen to find Ava dancing around with Noah on her feet. Aljaz and I stood in the door watching them and I could feel myself getting emotional and smile at the same time. Once they finished we started clapping. Noah sat on the floor and started crawling over to us. "He's missed you" "we've missed him too" "have you heard anything from Chloe?" "Not yet. I'm leaving it to her, she knows I'm here if she needs me. But it's been ages since her and Ashley spent time together so I'm giving it to them. Plus I haven't seen monkey or you guys in ages" "you know your welcome whenever you like" "I do thanks"

After dinner Aljaz washed up while Ava, Noah and I went to watch some tv. Noah started to fall asleep on Ava's lap so she took him up to bed.

When Ava came back downstairs I could tell that something was wrong. "You ok?" "Is it ok if I stay over tonight?" "You know that you can whenever you want to. Do you want to talk about it?" "Thanks. No thanks. Can we just watch a movie or something please?" "Hey, come here. If you want to talk about it we can and if not then we'll watch a movie. What do you want to watch?" "Beauty and the beast. It's my go to whenever I'm down or thinking about everything" "you have good choice. Why don't you go and get into your pjs while I get the movie throw and some snacks then we'll curl up and watch it" "thanks"
