Talking everything through

When Janette woke up she realised that she needed Aljaz more than ever with everything that had happened and that they would soon be parents. She messaged him to see if he was doing anything today which he wasn't so she asked him to pick her up after breakfast. Janette put some things into a bag and went downstairs for breakfast.

Amy: "morning"
Janette: "morning, Aljaz is picking me up in a bit so we can talk about everything that's happened."
Amy: "do you want me to be there when you're talking?"
Janette: "if I learnt anything from yesterday it's that him and I need to talk by ourselves. I'll call you if I need you."
Amy: "promise?"
Janette: "of course, thank you for everything you've done over the last I don't know how long. If it wasn't for you I don't know what I'd have done."
Amy: "what are friends for. What do you want for breakfast?"
Janette: "toast please"

After Janette had eaten her breakfast, she messaged Aljaz to say she was ready when he was. The baby started kicking like he knew that his parents were going to be reunited. When Aljaz arrived, Janette said bye to Amy and said she'd ring her later.

Aljaz: "hi, how are you and our baby boy?"
Janette: "hi, he's still definitely going to be a dancer. Do you wanna feel?"

Aljaz nodded so Janette put his hand where their son was kicking.

Aljaz: "does it hurt?"
Janette: "it did a bit at the start and it was weird but I'm used to it now. Shall we go back to ours to talk or we could go for a walk?"
Aljaz: "shall we go where we always used to go?"

Janette nodded so Aljaz started the engine and they were on their way. Amy had been watching out of the window hoping that it would work out for Janette. When they got there, they went the same way they used to.

Janette:"can we sit down?"
Aljaz: "yeah, whatever is easiest for you, I'm just glad that you wanted to talk. I've missed you."
Janette: "I've missed you too. Being at Amys has helped a lot."
Aljaz: "I'm glad. Where do we go from here?"
Janette: "I'm ready to come home, I'm not saying everything is going to go back to how it was before but I'm ready to give us another go if not then for this one."
Aljaz: "shall we go back to Amy's, get your things and go home?"
Janette: "can't we stay here a bit longer? It's been ages since I've been out in a quiet place just taking in the scenery without not thinking about reality."
Aljaz: "if you wanna stay here then that's what we'll do. Just tell me when you wanna go."
Janette: "I will. I've also been thinking that we need to think of names and start getting everything ready for when he's born."

After two hours of talking about names, baby things and getting everything off their chests, Janette and Aljaz decided to go back to Amy's to get Janette's things then go back to theirs. When they got back, Aljaz blindfolded Janette with his hands and led her to a surprise he'd planned for when she was ready to come home.

When Janette saw it she started crying.

Aljaz:"what's wrong? Don't you like it?"
Janette: "no Ali, I love it. Thank you it's perfect for our little prince."
