Noah making progress

As the days went on, Noah made a bit more of an improvement every day. When Karen came to see him, he was the happiest I'd seen him during the whole time he'd been in there. Karen encouraged Aljaz and I to go home for a bit to get a shower and some of his things. I must have made her promise at least 50 times that she'd call if there was even a slight change in his condition. I felt bad for leaving him but I knew that he and Karen got on really well plus she's my best friend.

When Aljaz had dropped me home and left again, I messaged Karen to see how Noah was then jumped in shower. I quickly got dressed and got something to eat. Karen had replied to tell me he's absolutely fine and loving the attention from his auntie which relaxed me a bit. I told her to tell him that his mummy is missing him and will be back soon. I made sure my phone was as loud as it could be in case the hospital or Karen needed to get hold of me and curled up on the sofa. I told myself I'd grab an hour then go back to the hospital but instead of an hour I fell asleep and didn't wake up until the next morning.

As soon as I realised what the time was I rang Karen to tell her I'd be back soon and that I'd fallen asleep. She told me that she was still with Noah and would wait for me to get back there before she left. When I got back to the hospital, Karen was waiting for me and told me to message her if I needed anything. I sat down next to Noah's cot stroking his hand as he slept.

While I was waiting for him to wake up, I received a message from Bex asking how Noah was and that Ava wanted to organise another visit if it was alright with me which of course it was as I missed her and was glad that she wanted to see me again. Bex told me that it'd be her, Ava and Chloe this time instead of Ashley. I thought to myself who's Chloe then I remembered Ava briefly talking about her, I believe that she's Ava's adopted mum if I was correct.
