Planning Noah's birthday

"I can't believe that my little prince is going to be one next week" Janette thought to herself. He's grown up way too quickly.

Ava was coming over to help Aljaz and I plan Noah's birthday and to see him. I hadn't seen her since the strictly final and I couldn't remember the last time her and Noah saw each other.

As soon as Ava text to say that she was nearly here, I picked Noah up and went to the door to surprise her. I hadn't told Noah that Ava was coming over so I couldn't wait to see his reaction. I saw Ava walking up the steps so I opened the door causing Noah to start trying to get out of my arms so that he could have cuddles with Ava. Ava saw him, ran up the rest of the steps and took him from me. "Hey monkey, have you missed me? Did he know that I was coming?" "He's definitely missed you and he had no idea. I picked him up from his toy mat when I got your message and we've been waiting by the door since" "what shall we do monkey? Does he need a nap or anything?" "He's good."

We went to the kitchen to get a drink then into the lounge so that Noah could play with his toys while Ava and I were catching up. Ava lay on the floor with Noah, pulling faces which made him laugh. Moments like this made me realise how much I missed with Ava but I love seeing the bond that they have; it reminded me of the bond I had with my brother and sister when we were younger.

"I have a few things to do around the house, are you ok to watch Noah for me please?" "Of course, we'll be absolutely fine won't we monkey"

Janette left Ava and Noah to it while she went upstairs to phone Aljaz and get some wrapping done.

When Aljaz got home he quickly said hi to Ava and Noah then came upstairs to find me. "What's wrong princess?" "Just seeing the bond that Ava and Noah have makes me realise how much I missed out on with her" "that wasn't your fault" "I know but it doesn't mean I feel less worse" "come on, why don't we go downstairs with Ava and Noah to start planning our princes birthday?" "Love you Ali" "love you too princess"

"Hey Aljaz. You ok Janette?" "I will be. Have you two had fun?" "We have, Noah is fascinated by everything on his mat. Aljaz watch Noah a minute, Janette come with me"

"Talk to me" "I'm ok" "you remind me of Chloe; you're both stubborn when it comes to talking about how you feel" "it doesn't matter. Shall we start planning Noah's birthday?" "It obviously does but I'm not going to force you to tell me" "I'll be ok I promise. Thanks for making sure, I appreciate it" "it's ok. Let's go see what the boys are doing"

"You two ok?" "Yeah" "have you got any ideas what you want to do for Noah's birthday?" "We were thinking of having a party here, invite you, Ashley and Chloe plus the strictly pros" "I like it. I'll ask Chloe and Ashley when I get home then I'll let you know" "how's Chloe?" "She's alright, can't wait until the baby is here." "Won't be much longer will it?" "A few weeks hopefully" "her pregnancy will be over before she knows it and you'll soon have another little brother or sister" "just because I'll have another brother or sister doesn't mean that I'll stop seeing this monkey or you guys"
