Where was Aljaz?

*this is all Aljaz's perspective*

"I need to get out of here" I thought to myself when I woke up. I know that it's Noah's checkup today but I can't go through with it. I feel bad for leaving Janette to handle it by herself like I always do but I just can't go through with it.

Janette and Noah were still asleep so I crept out of bed, took my toiletries and clothes with me and went into the spare bathroom to have a shower. Once I'd finished, I crept back into mine and Janette's bedroom, found my rucksack and started packing clothes and anything else I'd need. I had no idea how long I'd be away but I needed to clear my head.

I decided against leaving a note even though it was really selfish as I knew Janette would worry. I got in my car and tried to work out where I should go.

At first I went to Kevin's as he always knows what to do. When he opened the door he told me that Stace was at her mums which was a good thing. We went to the kitchen where he put the kettle on. "What's up mate? Nothing wrong with Noah is there?" "He's good. Well he will be until he wakes up and realises that I'm not there" "where you going?" "I honestly don't know. All I know is that I have to get away." "What about Janette?" "She's got Karen and she's stronger than she thinks" "keep in touch and if there's anything I can do let me know" "I will. Don't tell Janette or Stace you've seen me" "I wont"

I got back in the car and started following road signs and let them decide where I'd go. I ended up finding a hotel in Nottingham. I checked into a hotel, messaged Kev to tell him I was ok and found messages from Janette.

Even though my days away were meant to be used to get my head around everything that had happened over the last few months I realised that I'd been a bad husband and dad especially for leaving Janette to handle everything by herself. I knew that when I got back things had to change otherwise I could end up loosing my wife and son.
