Planning the baby shower

When they got back to Amy and Ben's, Janette put the kettle on while Amy grabbed pens and paper ready to start writing down ideas.

Ben: "what are you doing?"
Amy: "planning Janette's baby shower."
Ben: "have fun"
Amy and Janette: "we will"

*Ben leaves*

Amy: "you seem a bit happier now"
Janette: "I am now I've opened up to you and Karen a bit."
Amy: "aww. We meant what we said about being there for you and we won't push you anymore, we'll let you open up and talk whenever you're ready."
Janette: "thank you. Shall we start planning?"
Amy: "yeah, let's start with the guest list?"
Janette: "yeah, who were you thinking of asking?"
Amy: "who would you like to be there?"
Janette: *gets emotional* "my family but that would never happen. I don't even know how to tell them."
Amy: "how about we write the guest list then we figure out how we're going to tell them?"

Janette nodded and went to clean her face from her makeup smudging. When she came back Ben was back.

Ben: "how about we order a takeaway tonight?"
*both girls nodded*
Ben: "I'll go see what menus I can find"
Amy: "you ok?"
Janette: "I will be when I've told my family. I'll going to call them after dinner."
Amy: "it'll be ok. Do you want me to be there when you tell them?"
Janette: "it's better if it's just me but thank you."
Ben: "pizza, Indian or Chinese?"
Amy and Janette: "pizza"

Both girls gave Ben their orders and he went to get them while they cleared up their baby shower plans and sorted out the table.

After they'd eaten their pizzas, Janette went upstairs to make the FaceTime she'd been dreading for a long time. After a few rings Janette's sister Lesly picked up

Lesly: "hey sis you ok?"
Janette: "where's mom and dad? Is Alejandro home?"
Lesly: "dads out, mums in the kitchen and no he's not. What's going on?"
Janette: "can you get mom please?"

*Lesly goes to the kitchen*

Lesly: "mom Janette's on FaceTime and wants to talk to us about something."
Maritza: "hey love, what's happened?"
Janette: "Aljaz and I have fallen out so I'm staying with Amy and her fiancé Ben for a while but that's not why I'm calling."
Maritza: "I wish I was there to look after you."
Janette: "I wish you were too or I was there with you. But I need to tell you something."

*Janette's dad and brother get home*

Lesly: "quick dad, Janette's on FaceTime about to tell us something."

*the boys walk in and say hi*

Lesly: "go on sis, we're all here."
Janette: "well you're going to be an auntie, uncle and grandparents."
Lesly: "wait you're pregnant?"
Janette: "yep."
Lesly, Alejandro: "congratulations sis, you'll be an amazing mum"
Janette: "thanks guys, can you give me a minute with mom and dad please?"

*Lesly and Alejandro leave*

Janette: "say something"
Maritza: "excuse me I need some air"

*she leaves*

Janette: "go find her dad, I'll speak to you soon."

*Janette hangs up and breaks down*

Amy: "you ok?"
Janette: "nope, come in"

Amy goes to comfort her friend like she has over the last few weeks.

Janette: "my mom now hates me even more, dad didn't have a clue what to do but Lesly and Alejandro are happy."
Amy: "it'll be ok, just give her time. Don't take this the wrong way but you look a bit tired, why don't you try and get some sleep and I'll be back in a bit."
Janette: "thanks Amy."

Amy left Janette to it as Janette settled down to try and sleep. "It'll be ok baby I promise." Janette said as she fell asleep.

Amy went downstairs and quickly messaged everyone to meet tomorrow for a surprise party but didn't say what the party was for. Everyone could go. She debated whether or not to invite Aljaz but decided to message him. He said he'd come. Amy hoped she'd done the right thing for Janette.
