Telling my family about Ava and trying to fix things

Since introducing Noah to my family I'd only spoken to my brother and sister occasionally when they'd messaged to see how he was. I wanted them in Noah's life but I wasn't going to force them especially after they'd expressed how they felt about the situation. I still hadn't told them about finding Ava again but I knew I couldn't put it off forever.

Aljaz had taken Noah out for the day. He had asked if I wanted to go with them but I had something that I needed to do.

I set the laptop up, took a deep breath and pressed the call button. After what felt like forever, Lesly answered.

Lesly: "hey sis"
Janette: "hey"
Lesly: "you look terrified. It's not Noah is it?"
Janette: "he's good. Aljaz has taken him out for a bit. Is anyone else home?"
Lesly: "yeah. I'll get them now"
Alejandro: "hey sis. You ok?"
Janette: "you might wanna sit down"
Lesly: "you're not pregnant are you?"
Janette: "no, but I do have to tell you all something"
Luis: "it's not Aljaz is it?"
Maritsa: "you've found her haven't you?"
Lesly: "who?"
Maritsa: "her daughter"
Lesly: "wait what?!"
Janette: "thanks mum. Yeah, I had a daughter when I was younger. Mum found out then made me give her up"
Alejandro: "how old is she? What's her name?"
Janette: "Ava and she's recently turned 17"
Lesly: "do we get to meet her?"
Janette: "I'll talk to her about it and if she says yes then we'll arrange something when you come over"
Lesly: "keep us updated"
Janette: "of course. I didn't plan to tell you like that"
Lesly: "it's ok"

They stayed talking for a while then they said bye to each other.

Janette couldn't wait for her favourite boys to get back. As soon as she saw them through the window her face lit up. Aljaz could tell that something had happened as Janette couldn't wait for a cuddle with Noah. "Did you sort whatever it was that you had to put?" "I did" "you ok?" "I will be. How was your boys day?" "We had fun. Noah missed you though" "I missed you too baby" "you hungry?" "Yup" "I'll make us something while you two catch up" "we'll supervise you"

Janette sat at the table with Noah on her lap watching Aljaz making them lunch. She could tell that Noah was getting tired. "I'm just gonna take him up for a nap then I'll be back and we can catch up"

Aljaz had just finished making lunch when Janette appeared. "What's up princess?" "You know how I said that I had something to do this morning?" "Yeah. Something happened I can tell" "I told my family about Ava" "I'm proud of you princess. What happened?" "Lesly thought I was pregnant, dad thought it was you then mum blurted out that I'd found her and no one else knew so I had to tell them" "how did they take it?" "Lesly and Alejandro want to meet her" "have you spoken to Ava about it?" "Not yet. Next time I see or speak to her I'll ask her" "it'll be ok. What do you want to do until Noah wakes up?" "Have you got anything planned?" "I do have to finish my choreography before rehearsals" "I'll help you"
