A proper girls day

When Janette and Aljaz had got back last night, Aljaz said bye to Karen and went to bed leaving the girls to talk. "What you doing tomorrow? How's Noah been?" Janette asked. "He's been absolutely adorable as always and nothing why?" Karen replied thinking that she knew where this was going. "We haven't had a girls day in ages" "are you sure that you're up for it?" "I wouldn't have suggested it otherwise. Come over about mid morning?" "I'll see you tomorrow" Karen got her things then left.

"You sure you want to go out?" Aljaz asked as he came back with Janette's coffee. "It'll be nice to have a girls day. Like I said to Karen we haven't had one in ages and I know that you boys will have fun without me" Janette replied kissing Aljaz's cheek and taking her coffee. "Just be careful and have fun" "we will"

Karen text Janette to say that she was outside. She would have knocked but she didn't want Noah to see her otherwise they'd never be able to leave. "Don't miss me too much and be good" Janette yelled before closing the front door to get into the car. "Hey" "hey. How's Noah? I would have knocked but we both know what would have happened if I had" "he's good. Not that impressed that I was leaving him again after last night but he's having a boys day with Ali so he'll soon forget that I'm not there. What do you wanna do?" "How about we go shopping?" "Sounds good"

After a morning of shopping, Janette and Karen went to find somewhere to eat. Once they found somewhere they ordered their food, got a drink and went to find somewhere to sit. While they were waiting for their food, Karen asked "how was last night?" "It was amazing thank you! Aljaz took me to a show then our favourite restaurant and treated me like a princess" "I'm glad you had an amazing time. Noah and I watched tv, had loads of cuddles and then he fell asleep." "He's really missed you" "aww, I've missed him too. Just glad he seems to be doing better. You know I'll look after him whenever you want me to" "thank you!"

When they had finished their food, they went to some shops that were quieter than they were earlier so they went in then went back to Janette's. Aljaz happened to be looking out of the window while trying to calm Noah down but he wasn't having any luck. Karen helped Janette with her shopping. Noah was in Aljaz's arms watching then as soon as he saw that his auntie didn't have any shopping in her hands he kept reaching his arms over to her. Karen took him unable to refuse a cuddle. Aljaz helped Janette with her bags then put the kettle on. "I see you had fun" "we did. What set Noah off?" "No idea. One minute he was absolutely fine the next he started screaming and crying, no matter what I did he wouldn't calm down" "he seems happier now he's with Karen. No idea how she's going to escape" "I don't mind being trapped with my nephew" Karen told them as her and Noah came into the kitchen. "He's got you wrapped around his little finger"
