A day to myself

Aljaz was still wherever he was and Karen had been over to take Noah out for the day so I was by myself and didn't know what to do with myself.

I tried messaging Aljaz again with no answer still. This wasn't like him so I knew that something was wrong.

I couldn't remember the last time it was just me in the house. I turned the tv on to try and take my mind off everything but it didn't help; I just wanted Aljaz to come back so we could fix whatever had happened.

I must have fallen asleep; when I woke up Karen was walking down the stairs after putting Noah down.

Me: "how long have you been here?"
Karen: "about twenty minutes. I tried knocking but you didn't answer so I used the spare key"
Me: "did you have fun? How's he been?"
Karen: "we had great fun, he should sleep through. He's been good as always"
Me: "why's he good for everyone else then has a tantrum for me?"
Karen: "what's up and don't say nothing?"
Me: "Aljaz has disappeared and I have no idea where he is. He's not replying to any of my messages. Noah's missing him I can tell and I don't know what to do"
Karen: "it'll be ok. You know I'll have Noah whenever you need me to"
Me: "I know. I appreciate it"
