No matter what happens I'll always stand by you

Is it good or bad news?

Libby picked up the ultrasound scanner, "let's have a look at the baby" Janette and Amy looked at each other hoping for good news. Just as Janette was about to speak they heard the heartbeat. "This baby was just lying awkwardly." Libby explained and turned the screen around. Janette started crying, "what did I say hey?" Amy said trying to lighten the mood, Janette nodded and replied "I should have believed you." "Do you want to know if you're having a son or daughter?" Libby asked and Janette nodded. "It's a boy, I'll go get the pictures for you."

Libby and Lexi left the room. "Can we not tell the boys about the scare please?" Janette asked still trying to take it all in. "If you don't want them to know then it can stay between us?" Amy replied, she was happy to see Janette happy again. Lexi came back in with the pictures, "see you at your next scan and if you have any questions or problems you have my number." "Thank you" Janette said as her and Amy left. Amy quickly text Ben to say that they were ready when he was. "He'll be two minutes" Amy told Janette when she had read Ben's reply.

The girls headed down to where Ben was meeting them. "Are you planning on having a baby shower?" Amy wondered as they were waiting. "Is this your subtle way of saying that you want to organise it?" Janette replied sensing the vibes as Amy nodded.  Janette thought about it. "Ok you can plan it. I know I won't reveal it to the others as I was going to, invite them but don't tell them the occasion." "We'll make it a surprise baby shower for them" Amy got really excited about their plan as Ben arrived. "What you planning?" He asked as the girls got in the car. "Nothing" Amy and Janette replied together.

"Can you drop me off at mine please?" "You ok?" "Yeah, I just need to be by myself for a bit and I forget something" "do you want me to stay with you?" "No thanks Ames, you've done so much in the last few days and I'm really grateful" "you absolutely sure? What are friends for hey." "Yeah, I'll call you if I need anything." Ben did as Janette asked. Amy was still suspicious and had a feeling that Janette was planning something. "I'll call you later." Janette said as she got out of the car, noticing that Aljaz's car wasn't there. Ben and Amy waited for Janette to get inside before they left.

Once she was in the kitchen, Janette took one of the scan pictures out of her bag and stuck it to the fridge. "Just where you belong." Janette thought out loud whilst rubbing her bump with her son kicking back, that's when she properly started to relax. "Shall I get us something to eat as we haven't in ages and I bet you're hungry." She went to the cupboards to see what she could find. She couldn't find anything. "I should probably go shopping." Just as she said that Aljaz arrived home with the food shopping.

Aljaz: hi
Janette: hi
Aljaz: you two ok?
Janette: yeah you?
Aljaz: yeah *sees the scan picture* how was the scan?
Janette: alright, Amy came with me
Aljaz: at least you weren't by yourself. Did you find out whether it's a boy or girl?
Janette: no thanks to you and yeah I did.

Janette grabbed a banana and went upstairs. The baby started kicking so she rubbed her bump and said it's ok, it's just daddy being off with mummy again. She carried on up the stairs to message Amy and get what she'd forgotten. When she came back downstairs, the atmosphere was still frosty.

Janette: "I'm going back to Amys"
Aljaz: "aren't we going to try and sort this out?"
Janette: "now you wanna try? I've spent the last few days waiting for you. I need to sort my head out and put the baby first."
Aljaz: "are you going to tell me whether I'm having a son or daughter?"
Janette: "a son"

Janette's phone went off, it was Amy saying that she was outside. Janette picked up her things and left.
