Hours passed and all Janette and Aljaz could do was watch and wait until someone gave them information on what was happening. One doctor asked them what happened and how Noah had been during the week to which Aljaz replied that he hadn't been himself, the doctor said that he'd got a chest infection and given them medicine for him but it had made him worse. All Janette wanted to do was swap places with her son. She couldn't stand seeing so many wires and tubes coming out of her six and a half week old son. She kept blaming herself and questioning what she'd done wrong that had made him come six weeks early.

Janette went to get some air and to phone Karen: she needed her best friend more than ever right now. Every time Janette rang Karen it went straight to answer phone. She had no idea what to do; her life was falling apart, her best friend wasn't answering her phone and no one was telling her what was wrong with her son. Janette tried ringing Amy who also didn't answer.

Just as Janette was about to go back inside her phone started ringing. She looked hoping it would either be Amy or Karen but instead it was Bex, Janette answered just to speak to another human being. Bex asked Janette how Noah was which nearly broke her, then she went on to explain that Ava had made her a card but didn't know how to get it to her. This made Janette emotional knowing that not just anyone but the daughter she'd given up was thinking about her even though she had to miss their meeting. Janette asked if Bex was free which she was so she told her where she was and to bring Ava down to meet her and her brother.
