Sitting alone in the snow seemed dull. Hell, it definitely was. Poor Classic, sitting all alone outside his residence. Jesus christ he was lonely.
He used to think he had companions, the odd few here and there, however, the truth was he only really talked to his bro, Grillby and Toriel and even then, he didn't consider them 'real' friends. His brother definitely was but Grillby was only talking to him because he was doing his job and he never got to see Tori.
Sans never considered it much, but he was actually really isolated. It never troubled him before until now when he was alone with his views.
Thinking about it even further was just straight-up disheartening. Even other skeletons didn't fancy him, he learnt very swiftly skeletons either annihilated each other or ignored them completely. He knew a few that had felicitous relationships with each other but that was only because they'd been through extreme shock together.

So there he was, remaining in the snow, leaning up against the external wall. Sans was clasping his knees in silence. He used to be so powerful, he used to work so fully alone.

"Excuse me?" A rugged sort of voice asked, stooping down in front of Classic.
The other skeleton started a bit, abruptly looking up at the speaker. Another skeleton? Maybe they weren't all that they seemed. Sure, the newcomer seemed a tiny bit intimidating, yet Sans wouldn't act unless he ought to.
"Uh.. yeah?" Sans smiled a bit, although his eyes told an unconventional story. His smile perpetually lied although not everyone grasped that. Papyrus sometimes called him 'the giggle at a funeral' due to the fact he liked to inject any ill-timed humour into the worst situations.
"You're Sans, right? What's up, you seem a bit down?" He asked kindly, sitting down beside him.
"Yeah, I'm alright. You're Fell aren't you?"
"Yep, you can just call me Red though" The taller couldn't help but smile, he didn't like being cruel unlike what his reputation said about him. Red only acted threatening so he'd persevere in his AU. There, it was literally 'kill or be killed'. He'd had to cover a few bodies in his time but that was only life.
Sans shifted a bit, moving so he wasn't hugging his knees anymore, sitting a bit like a horse so he could look at Red. "What brings you here?" No Sans, don't blush please don't blush. Yes, he was hot but don't blush.
"Oh, that? I just saw you here alone and thought you could use a bit of company" He shrugged a bit.
"I am just a bit lonely come to think of it-"
"That's what I thought" Red smiled a bit more, looking into Classics eyes. He could tell, he was lonely, he knew what that looked like, he knew what that felt like. It wasn't nice. "Having a bit of company every now and then isn't a bad thing y'know"
"I know, I just never noticed skeletons were so brutal. When you think about it, they'll kill each other over the smallest things. It's kinda sad"
"I agree with that, but not everyone is the same. It's actually the most innocent ones that are the most dangerous. I mean Blueberry, god knows how many people he's slaughtered." He chuckled a bit.
"Heh, yeah" Sans smiled a bit more, and his eyes brightened a bit. He seemed grateful for his new-found companion.

"Hey, it's all good to be alone but it's not good to stay that way, trust me, I know."
"Yeah, but people don't really like me that much?"
"How could they not? Without you, I wouldn't exist and even though my existence is kinda sad I'm still grateful to have it. You're amazing Classic, if someone doesn't want to be friends with you I'd label them a dick"
Sans fell mute, gazing at Red in slight awe. "You think so?"
"I know so" He smiled softly again, opening his arms to offer a hug, which Classic took immediately. He hugged Red quietly, mumbling a 'thank you' under his breath.
Fell simply chuckled, wrapping his arms around him to hold him close, let him get the company he probably really needed. This was nice, just cuddling in the quiet of the air around them, their focus on nothing but each other and themselves.

It would probably be foolish to think he loved the really really attractive skeleton holding him but then again, Classic wasn't exactly the smartest so he just decided it was fine. Leaning up to kiss Reds cheek, the smallers mind drastically calmed and he found basically every worry he had melt away. Was this what it was like to be in love? Wanting to stay there in that persons comfy embrace and just... fall asleep there? Would loving someone mean having the impulse to snuggle with them, feel truly safe as long as they were there?
Oh god it was, everything Sans was feeling all pointed down one path, the one with the metaphorically massive light-up sign that told him to say 'I love you'
So, Classic looked up at Red, his face flushed with blue and said those exact 3 words.

"I love you"

Red sighed gently, looking down at Sans with a calm expression. He loved him? Sans actually loved a guy like him?
"Heh..."
"Wait, did I fuck up? I'm sorry-" Classic looked away timidly, only to find himself being coaxed back by Reds hand on his cheek.
Sans' blush deepened almost as soon as Red kissed him. A short and gentle sort of kiss that said all it needed to.

"I love you too sweetie~" Fell cooed quietly, nuzzling the smaller who only turned an even deeper shade of blue since logic died in a hole a very long time ago.
"Thank you Red-"
"No thanks, just cuddles" The taller muttered suddenly, tugging Classic gently onto his lap. He'd never be alone again, not if Red had something to say about it.
