Did the distracting plan work?

Slate shook his head: "No, it will not work. Rather, it will backfire." Kongpob rolled his eyes: "Don't jinx it." Arthit glared at them and Slate muttered under his breath: "You're on your own on this, man. Even now his glare scares me." Kongpob bit back his smile and he walked towards Arthit. The latter crossed his arms and exclaimed: "I don't want them to go, Kong." The demon king sighed and he whispered to his soulmate: "And I didn't want dad and mom to retire. But it still happened because it had to. They were tired and wanted to explore the universe." Arthit's chin now wobbled: "I still don't like that either.." Kongpob smiled tenderly and wrapped his soulmate in his arms. 

He kissed his temple softly and whispered: "We are going to visit the babies as much as you want." Arthit shook his head and muttered: "It won't be the same.." Kongpob teleported along with his soulmate to his ship and continued in saying: "They are growing fast, of course it won't be the same.." Arthit punched his arm lightly and frowned at him. Kongpob kissed the tip of his nose and Arthit whispered: "Is this the distracting plan?" Kongpob nodded, proceeding to kiss the hell of his soulmate. "It's not working..", murmured Arthit against Kongpob's lips even as he wrapped his arms around his soulmate's neck. "Not working at all.."

Kongpob chuckled and let his soulmate nuzzle his neck. He checked with her daughter: "You are at the Union?" Alyssa replied instantly: "Yeah. Eli and Chiara came to fetch us and now we are all here in front of Uncle Tew." Kongpob nodded in relief. He might not show his worry and sadness like his soulmate but still he was. Arthit lifted his head and asked in a worried voice: "Did you speak with them?" Kongpob nodded: "Aly says they are already at the Union." Arthit sighed and cuddled even closer to his soulmate. "I miss them already.." Kongpob kissed his hair: "Me too.." "They are going to be alright?", asked Arthit in a small voice. "Yes, baby. They are in good hands.", reassured Kongpob.

Arthit sniffed and he tightened his hold around his soulmate. Kongpob rubbed his back in trying to comfort him. A long moment after, Arthit whispered, his voice hoarse: "Where are we going?" "The cat is asking for you.", said Kongpob and Arthit nodded. "He must be feeling lonely too." Kongpob cleared his throat and Arthit giggled. "Shut up.", he said and Kongpob smiled. Because technically Kit and Ming were not that lonely. They did not have the time to be lonely. Their two twins aged ten were very mischievous and their pranks had made them famous among the gang. The two wolves loved to annoy the elder children. The two exceptions were Alyssa and Pete. 

"You know they are going to tease you a lot.", said Kongpob and Arthit smiled. He would welcome the teasing. When they finally arrived to the planet, Arthit was still feeling melancholic. He was holding Kongpob's hand and stepped outside of the ship when he jumped in surprise. Ben was suddenly in front of him, his eyes looking very guilty. Before Arthit could even do anything, Ben ran behind him and hid behind his back. By then, a furious Beam's shout could be heard as he teleported in front of them. "Arthit, give me that little vamp!! I am going to beat his ass!!" Ben tightened his hold on Arthit's shirt.

Kongpob growled, annoyed that his soulmate was suddenly between this argument. Arthit patted his arm and asked Beam: "What did he do?" Beam glared at his son and muttered: "He tried to sneak out and got into a ship on his own. He came here by himself." Ben muttered behind Arthit's back: "I just wanted to know how the ship worked. I didn't know it had already been programmed to come here." "WHO TOLD YOU TO GET INTO IT??!!", Beam shouted, fear and anger in his voice. Arthit turned slowly and wrapped his arm around Ben's shoulders. "He is really worried. You should have been careful. He is scared that he could have lost you."

Ben lowered his head and whispered: "I am sorry." Beam closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm himself. Ben walked to his mother with slumped shoulders. Forth was running towards them and he muttered under his breath: "Will you two stop with all this teleportation! It's a pain to find you two!" He turned towards his son. Ben's shoulders slumped even more. Arthit grabbed Kongpob's hand and silently asked him to get them from there. Ben would feel even more awkward to get reprimanded in front of them. Kongpob nodded and they teleported in front of the palace.
