You know, doing the same career every day is boring. That is exactly why I decided to switch to a police officer for a day! that's not my only petty reason. Actually, it lets in on how the whole system works in general. I believe that's vital if you are going to be a hero.

That doesn't mean I do shit correctly. I am just here to learn.

"Let me get this straight, and ya'll can correct it for me: the police force is there to do the rest of the work that heroes avoid like gathering evidence, arresting the criminals, and shit like that?" I ask a few police officers as they are on break.

Everyone nods while one speaks up, "Someone has to do it. We don't have sufficient quirks to become a hero is the best way to describe it. We still want to help, so here we are." That catches my interest. I face the officer as I lean back in the chair.

"With me being a quirkless hero, how do you feel about that?"

"It definitely says that anybody can be a hero, but I don't believe kids will realize that it takes more than a quirk to become a hero; you must have the mentality to have one."

I smirk, " Right. if you look at our society, you see that they practically beg kids to become heroes. That dream doesn't get crushed till highschool, which I believe is insufficient."

"I agree with that, Midoriya. This generation will especially have a rude awakening as they believe they can beat someone quirkless."

"I like you! I want to work with you...?"

"John."

"American?"

"Yeah."

"You're stuck with me for the day!" John is going to be tortured!

"Drop your items and raise your hands!" John yells at a villain robbing. Of course, the villain doesn't take him seriously and runs off. Within a few moments, a hero stoops in and deals with it.

I hum, "Is that normal?"

"Yeah. Why should they worry about someone who can't use their quirk? And before you point out your quirkless status, you also carry around a large variety of weapons and abilities. Us police officers don't have that." That's true.

"You believe police officers should be allowed to use their quirks?"

"It would certainly make the job easier. It doesn't help that a lot of the time the heroes will wait before coming in like that one to put on a show. That's what I like about you: you get straight to it."

"Nice to know! Thanks, John!"

"Let's arrest him."

"Can I please put the cuffs on him, please?"

"I don't see why not. Here." John hands me some handcuffs, and I get the right to cuff the villain!

"Glad to see that paperwork is as boring as my cases, "I mutter as I help with the paperwork. John and I returned back because there wasn't much to do, so here we are.

"You work mostly as a detective, huh?"

"Yip yip, John! Hey, when can I see the prisoners?"

"I don't think I have ever had someone want to meet the prisoners before."

"I'm bored."

"Fair. Let's go."

"HELLO!" I start singing.

"SHUT UP!" "LET ME OUT!" "NO ONE CARES FOR THIS!" Multiple prisoners scream out. I could care less.

"IT'S ME! I WAS WONDERING IF AFTER ALL THESE YEARS YOU'D LIKE TO MEET!"

John quickly pulls me out of the jail section, "I rather not have the prisoners riled up. You just made that job harder."

"If you had let me go for long enough, they would have been tortured enough to let you do whatever you want to them."

"Not legal, Midoriya."

"Oof."

"I hope you realize the reason you're being kicked out, "John says as he drags me out of the police station.

"I don't! Lay it on me!"

"Let's see: You know the information you're not supposed to know. The only thing protecting you there is the HC. You hacked the police station just to blast 'Never Gonna Give You Up.' You riled up the prisoners. And worst of all, you ate all the doughnuts."

"I don't see a problem with any of that."

"I like you, Midoriya. However, you're too troublesome for here." With that, John slams the door on my face.
