Prompt: So this was supposed to be what happened, but I decided against it as it is supposed to be a fun chapter.
Then decided I wanted to do it anyway, so here we are.
We are keeping the original first part of the chapter, but once the stores open, that's when the tea spills.
It was a little rushed, so just a warning there.
Warning: Angst, Assholes, Panic Attack

"Holy shit," Shouta mutters underneath is breathe as he watches the sea of children run into the store. I watch the crowd carefully, and everything seems okay. However, my gut tells me something is about to happen.

"Sho, let me on your back and bring us down, please. Something is about to happen, " I ask quickly. Shouta turns away from me, I hop on his back, and we swing down to the crowd, "I'm going in."

"Izu, that's a horrible idea, "I hear him buzzing through the headset as I run into the crowd. Thankfully, I'm small enough to slip through most people. My mind is purely focused on the future trouble.

Notice how I said most people.

"STOP PUSHING, BRAT!" Suddenly, someone pushes me forward, causing me to crash into the people in front of me. I bite my tongue as I balance myself quickly while apologizing to prevent a collapse. However, within that time, I assume the same person runs into me, causing me to fall to the ground. I barely hear Shouta asking if I am okay as I attempt to stand up, but I am kicked down again! People were more than willing to trip over me over jump me, preventing me from getting up.

I can feel the crowd around me not giving a singular shit that I am on the floor.

And, of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the amount of germs, which causes my breathing to suddenly pick up and my heartrate to rise.

I scramble to get up only to be pushed down again.

The screaming.

The people.

The germs.

Shouta's POV

Izuku had to go ahead. Honestly, he is going to get himself killed one of these days.

I start making my way through the crowd, covering my worry.

"Izuku, I need a response, "I ask, the possibilities coming through my head.

Hizashi buzzes in my ear, "Sho, what's going on?"

"Izuku went ahead into a crowd, and I lost him." Hizashi's worry immediately picks up.

"You need to get to him in case he has an attack, Shouta." Fuck, I didn't even think of that. I start becoming more forceful through crowd.

"Come here as soon as you finish, please. This place needs order."

Finally, I hear something from Izuku's end, "STOP PUSHING, BRAT!" That sounds directed towards Izuku. I hear much more movement at his end after the fact.

I talk louder, "Izuku, are you alright?" No response.

As soon as I hear his breathing pick up, I start running, "IZUKU!"

If someone had tried to fight me during that time, I ignored them. I needed to get to my kid.

I search around when I see black hair similar to Izuku's pop up, only to fall down. I force my way to it.

The sight I see is disgusting. I see Izuku nearly crying, struggling to get up as people push him around like he isn't even there.

I've never been more pissed in my life, "EVERYONE, STOP IT!" Everyone looks toward me, stopping whatever they are doing, "DO YOU PEOPLE HAVE ANY GODDAMN DIGNITY?! YOU'RE RUNNING A GODDAMN KID OVER! NOW STOP ACTING UP AND ACT YOUR DAMN AGE!"

Everyone gets out of my way as I bend down to Izuku. I need to get him out of here. I lift Izuku up and growl at the idiots with my quirk on, "Don't you dare follow!"

I feel Izuku start to struggle in my arms, and I quickly take him as far away from the crowd as possible until a found a wall with nobody near watching.

I set Izuku down and step back to give him space, "Izuku, it's Shouta. You're in Walmart. I need you to breathe with me. You're safe."

Izuku is too far gone. I can tell. I have to intervene with his space a little bit.

As carefully as I can, I take Izuku's left hand, place it against my chest, and slow down my breathing, "Come on, kid." I focus on remaining calm, following an instinct of running my hand through his hair.

Izuku slowly starts to breathe again, and tears replace the scene.

"Izuku, are you there?" He slowly nods, "Can I hug you?" Another nod. I bring him close to me, and he nearly clings to me. It's shattering to see the problem child reduced to this.

Finally, he softly says, "Sorry."

I sigh, running a hand through his hair, "You're fine. Try not to do that again, alright?"

"Wasn't planning on it." At least his personality is slowly coming back.

"You wanna go home?"

"No...I still have shit to start." I pinch the bridge of my nose by removing my hand from his hair.

"That's still a priority?"

"Uh-huh. Just stay for a little more, please?"

"Fine, brat."

When Izuku finally calmed down, we went back to see the store way calmer than before. Did I have that much of an influence? Izuku seems confused as well, but morely down about missing some fights.

That didn't stop him from exploding glitter cannons all over the place with the rest of our group.

I hate to say it, but I'm just glad I got to see him smile again. Seeing him like that is just wrong.
