Chapter 58

Minho

"You going to visit Miwon again?" I was on the phone call with SungJong while I am making my way to the hospital, it has become a part of my daily routine once again, making a trip to the hospital to see Miwon before I go to work, it used to be part of my lifestyle 3 years ago when Miwon got into that car accident which landed her into a coma for nearly 3 years and now I am doing it all over again.

I have no idea that Na Miwon would be in a coma and it is already the 10th day that she has been unconscious, the doctors said to me that it would take her a while to regain unconscious and I should be there by her side to give her all the support that she needs. I would be there even if I am not told to, I care for Na Miwon with all of my heart and I swore to myself that I would stay by her side till the day that she wakes up, it could be weeks and months or even years before she sees me again but I will be willing to see her when she wakes up.

"Of course, I have to get my energy up before going to work since today is a long day for me," I told him. "You are not coming to visit Miwon later?"

"No, I have something on and I am the one that she wants to see the most, it is you. Just give me an update if she ever regains unconscious." And he hung up, he is just one of the many people that have been concerned about Na Miwon ever since they found out that she had been hospitalized once again. There will be someone coming to visit her every single day, it is such a huge contrast when she fell into a deep coma 3 years ago, no one but me and her father came to visit her often but now, there are a lot of people coming to see her every day and to say pretty things to her so that she will regain unconscious quickly.

The only difference is that she has gotten love from a lot of people after giving out her love to them, she has learned how to love herself and to enjoy the company of other people. She doesn't realize that yet but I am really happy for her that her life is starting to change for the better and her life is starting to have a lot of colours as well, and her life is only going to be more colourful as the time goes.

I packed food for her again even though I know that it is going to waste if she doesn't wake up today and have the food that I have prepared for her, I just want her to know that there is always someone out there caring for her and making sure that she is being treated well. I prepared one of her favourite foods today and the smell is going to make her wake up for sure, it is made with my love for her and it is one of a kind and it can't be found anywhere else in the world.

I heard a commotion in the corridor when I came out of the lift and I wondered why the hospital is supposed to be a quiet place and it shouldn't be this loud with all those gasps and talking. And then I turned into the direction where Na Miwon's room is at and I saw her, walking in my direction without anything supporting her and she was walking quite wobbly.

She didn't have her clutches nor she was in a wheelchair, it must be a dream and I must have been hallucinating that she is actually awake. But she seems so real and she even looked at me while walking into my direction, she is real and she can walk again.

I dropped everything that is in my hands and I ran towards her, giving her a tight hug and I burst out crying. I am so glad that she has regained unconscious after such a long time and she is able to walk again, I am so happy for her. "Are you real? Tell me that everything is real and I am not dreaming."

"Everything is real, I can walk again..." That was the only thing that I needed to hear, I looked at her and I went straight for her lips, kissing her on the lips as if I have been wanting for that to happen. I am so happy that I needed to be punched multiple times in the stomach to convince myself that I am not dreaming and I am actually kissing the love of my life, I can't believe that I could have the right to love the person that I loved the most, it is the only thing that I needed and I have achieved it.

"Quit staring at me, I am not going to disappear again." She told me after we got back into the room and she was sitting on her bed. "Song Minho, you do know that it makes you look a little creepy right?"

"Right." I smiled. "When did you regain unconscious? You didn't seem like you just woke up, it has been a while right?" It is so surprising that she could walk like that without any support, that couldn't happen just like that.

"How did you know? I was debating on whether to greet the world or not, so I focused all of that time to listen to everyone when they are here and I practised my walking as well. I can't be walking down the aisle sitting in a wheelchair  right?"

That made me cough uncontrollably and she passed a bottle of water, I was not expecting that to come from her mouth like that. Where did she learn it from? Isn't it too early to think about that?

"You do want me to be standing on my wedding day right?" She picked up the conversation from where she left it, she seems really excited about it and I am not exactly sure if she would actually want to marry me. "Song Minho, why are you not talking?"

I cleared my throat. "Isn't that too early to talk about that? You just regained unconsciousness, there is time to talk about all of that and I don't think that you would be in a rush to do that."

"Right, it is indeed too early. We haven't started dating each other and I am already thinking about marriage, sorry about that." She looked around and she spotted the lunchboxes that I have packed for her. "Is that for me?" and I nodded.

She started eating and I looked all over the room except for her, because I am just so embarrassed that we had such a conversation. I have indeed thought about marriage at some point but I didn't think that she would have the same thinking as well, we never dated each other and it would be a little too early for marriage but I have already asked her father for Miwon's hand in marriage and he might start to get disappointed in me if I don't hurry up. "About the marriage part, do you want to do it with me?" She spit all the food that was in her mouth and it landed on my face.
