His heart had stopped from beating. He had no pulse anymore. He’s totally dead. Sairi’s dead.

The academy that was a safe place for the students and their training ground, had turned into haunted. The snow had stopped from falling and the snowy field was bathed with blood as the corpse of the students and the dark magic users were everywhere.

Fear was written in everyone’s face as they glanced at Firoah. A dark aura was surrounding her now. As the sky was becoming darker and darker, darkness was slowly covering her heart.

She was still mourning for her son’s death but she couldn’t just let Fire be swallowed by darkness. “Kailangan niya iyong pigilan!”

“Take her out of here!” maawtoridad ngunit pasigaw na wika ng mahal na Hari.

She felt numb.

“Firoah, wala na siya. We just need to accept it though it hurts,” mahinahon ngunit puno ng pighating wika ni Raiton.

“Revive him! I know you can do it! Revive him, Firoah, like what you did to the nijius months ago!” Eres said, tempting her as he released his ominous laugh.

They knew now. They knew that if Fire would revive Sairi, she would be totally covered with darkness. As much as they wanted Sairi to be alive, they did not want to let that happen—to let darkness win inside her. They didn’t want another battle. They did not want to risk many lives again.

“We don’t have enough time!

They got it now. This was the dark magic plans all along. They knew that Firoah’s weakness was Sairi. Kung hindi nila matatalo ito sa lakas, they could use Sairi as a bait. If Fire would take it, it would be the end of them.

Her eyes were as dark as the caliginous firmament. Wala ng puting makikita rito. That dark aura surrounding her was becoming thicker and thicker as her eyes darted on Kaze without any emotion—lifeless.

“Firoah...”

“I need him,” walang emosyong wika nito, saka muling ibinaling ang tingin kay Sairi. “I need to bring him back to me.”

He just couldn’t let her do it no matter how he badly wanted his only brother to live too.
