“The safest plan is to attack Draco in his world. That’s to secure our world from the damages the war will cause,” seryosong saad ni dad.

He gathered us all here including the leaders of two countries  and all academies for this meeting. It had been a month since the dark magic users attacked us; tila tahimik sila ngayon at sa tingin ko’y naghahanda na rin sa gagawing pagsugod.

Silence means there’s a greater war that is coming.

“Kung uunahan natin sila sa pagsugod, wala ng madadamay pang mga mamayan ng Niji. We just can’t make this world a battlefield anymore. Too many lives have been wasted because of this unending war. It’s time for us end this.”

Naikunot ko ang noo. Paano kami susugod sa mundong iyon kung wala kaming portal patungo roon? Iyong portal na nakita noon ng grupo ni Sairi noong nasa misyon sila upang hanapin ang mga half nijius ay naisara na; sinubukan na rin naming buksan iyon ngunit naglaho na ito.

“But we still don’t know the other portal that is connected to that world,” saad ko nang ibaling muli ang tingin kay dad. “How can we get there?”

“Sairi.” Instead of answering me, dad diverted his gaze at Sairi and called him. Ngunit hindi man lang siya nito binalingan ng tingin. Nakayuko pa rin ito at nakatingin sa sahig.

Napatingin na rin ako sa sahig at nailing. I just saw my handsome face on the floor. Tss.

“SAIRI!”

Napapitlag ako at umayos sa pagkakaupo nang sumigaw na si dad. He’s really scary when he’s angry but Sairi was never really scared of him. He caught Sairi’s attention but Sai was still emotionless.

“You’re not listening, son.” Bakas sa boses at mukha ni dad ang pagtitimpi.

“Sorry,” ani Sairi. He did not sound sorry at all.

Dad sighed. Muli kaming natahimik at hinihintay lamang ang muli niyang sasabihin.

“Jade and Bryce had located a portal connected to Hei and we need your help, son,” mahinahon nang saad ni dad, saglit na bumaling kay HM Jade and Prof. Bryce. Tahimik lamang si Sairi, hinihintay ang susunod pa nitong sasabihin. “It’s in the end of that forbidden forest of the academy.”

Umawang ang bibig ko sa narinig. We’ve been searching the portals that they used, but all this time, may portal pala sa loob ng academy! Paanong...

“I guess, those half nijius who were students of the academy made that portal,” saad ni HM Jade.

Possible nga iyon. How come we did not think of that earlier? When we found out that there were half nijius in the academy, we should’ve thought that there’s a possibility that they made a portal there!

“What do you want me to do?” tanong ni Sairi.

“That portal might have an effect once we enter. They might’ve put something to it,”—Dad paused, then continued talking—“so I think, this is the right time to use Firoah’s ability, Sairi. Use her ability to neutralize the portal.”

Sairi’s face changed. At last, I saw an emotion on it. But it was sadness. He just nodded at dad and looked away.

“I believe we’re all prepared. 3 days from now, sasalakay tayo roon,” mom said and glanced at Sairi.
