Ahsoka ached. Every muscle and joint complaining as she trudged back to her and Rex's rooms. Rex was jolted out of meditation when she threw the door open and stumbling to the bed. She collapsed with a weary groan and didn't move. Rex chuckled and stood. He shut the door and sat by her head.

"Tired?" He asked, stroking her montrals gently. She shook her head, rolling so she was face down on the cott.

"Sore." She grumbled, muffled by the thick canvas. Rex laughed again and rubbed at her back, feeling the muscles tense and corded beneath his fingers. Ahsoka let out a little sigh of relief. "You can keep doing that, thank you." She shifted a little closer so he could get a better angle.

Rex smiled, even though she couldn't see his face. "Sir yes sir." He worked his way down her back, being gentle when she flinched at particularly stubborn knots of muscle.

"How did it go?" He asked. Ahsoka hummed into the bed before turning over so her head was in his lap.

"Stole a tank. Blew up the military power grid. If they want to charge the droids now they will have to dip in the the civilians allotment and they wouldn't like that." She waved her hand and a blanket floated lazily over to cover her. She snuggled into him.

"You stole a tank?" Rex paused and looked down at her. She nodded sleepily.

"Yeah. Lux and Saw got it. I just followed them and stayed hidden. It was a lot of running and climbing. And falling. There was plenty of falling." She added. Rex immediately started checking her over for bruises. Aside from the black eye, she was fine.

"Ok. Well, what did you do with the tank?" He asked, going back to massaging her shoulders.

"Rigged it with droid poppers to go off when somebody opens the top hatch." She muttered, sitting up and wrapping the blanket around her tighter.

"Nice job." Rex said. Ahsoka gave a smile then pushed herself to stand up.

"I'm going to shower really quick then take a nap, if that's ok. I'm tired." She stifled a yawn. Rex nodded.

"That's fine, just don't fall asleep in the shower again, ok?" He said, smiling up at her as he stood too. Ahsoka gave him an evil grin.

"Or what?" She said, leaning against the 'fresher door. Rex raised an eyebrow.

"Or maybe I'll just leave you in there to freeze instead of putting you to bed." He teased. Ahsoka sauntered over and pressed a kiss to his forehead.

"But you won't. I know that for a fact." She smirked at him.

"Oh. Becoming predictable, am I?" He gave a lopsided grin. "Maybe I'll have to change it up a bit."

Ahsoka giggled and kissed him again, on the lips this time. "You don't have to change a thing. Ok. I won't fall asleep in the shower on the condition that if I do on the off chance, you put me to bed." She grinned at him.

"Deal." Rex kissed her again before pushing her away. "Now go on, you smell like burnt rubber." He wrinkled his nose in mock disgust.

"Hey, don't be jealous just because you are stuck here and don't even get the opportunity to smell like this." She grinned at him before closing the refresher door. The sound of running water followed shortly after. Rex just grinned and shook his head.

He moved back to the floor and pulled out the sheet of rehab exercises Kix had given him. He read through it again, then rolled his eyes and tossed the sheet over his shoulder. He pulled out his 17's and started a stopwatch. He dismantled one then put it back together as fast as he could correctly, then glanced at the time and growled in frustration.

He reset it and started again. He used to he able to do it in less than a minute, why was it taking five? Oh right, his hands. He did it again and again, trying to use old muscle memory and failing. Finally he gave up trying to remember how he used to do it. He stopped the timer and set the pieces down. His hands were still trembling and at this rate he could never get back down to his old times.

Instead, he went through and slowly and methodically memorized each piece of the gun, how they fit together, how the force moved through the metal. He put them together slowly, then took them apart slowly. Taking a deep breath, he started the timer. It was better. Not good, better.

"Wow. Two minutes and twelve seconds. Nice." Rex's head snapped up to see Ahsoka laying on the bed, watching him. He had been so focused he hadn't noticed her get out of the shower. She had stollen his shirt again, and it hung loosely off her shoulder. Her knees were bent, and her feet kicked slowly over her head.

"Thought you were taking a nap." Rex admonished.

"I was going too, but I decided that I could stand to watch you for a few minutes." She rolled over and pulled the pillow over her head. "You're improving."

"Thanks. I try." He muttered, only somewhat sarcastically.

"I know you do." She said. Rex put the side arms away and turned out the lights. "I'll let you sleep." He said. Ahsoka nodded into the pillow.

As Rex left the room, his stomach growled loudly, reminding him that he had yet to eat. He decided food wad a priority, and that Ahsoka probably would want some too.

He walked into the mess and grabbed a two bowls of stew on a tray. It wasn't the best thing in the galaxy, but it was better than the rations. He noted, with pride, that he wasn't spilling and could hold the spoon easier. He would get this yet. After he finished his, he took the trey and walked back to the room. He was stopped by Saw nearly colliding with him in the corridor. Rex just barely managed to save the food.

"Sorry, Captain. I've been looking all over for you. Get Ahsoka and get to the command center. It's an emergancy." He said grimly. Rex nodded.

"What's the situation?" He asked. Saw glanced around to make sure that the hall was empty.

"King Dendup, the true king of Onderon, is scheduled for execution tomorrow at noon."
