Aviana watched him grab a piece of paper from under the mattress. She tried to grab it, he moved away from her.
"What do you think you are doing?" Aviana yelled at him, he stood up straight with his arm in the air.
"What I have to do. Why are you stopping me?" Luca asked, his arm still up. She tried to grab it but couldn't.
"Because that's the only thing keeping her away!" Aviana yelled, she put her arm down and stopped trying to get it. Luca sighed and took his arm down.
"It's the thing keeping her close to you. I know, Aviana. She's scary, but she won't stop until this paper leaves your presence. She's out to kill everyone involved with her death, you are the first one on her list, next is me. You need to let me destroy this, why would I lie to you? You know I don't lie." She looked up to him, tears in her eyes.
"Not that long ago you proved other wise. Take it." She turned her back to him, he sighed and walked up to her. He gave her a hug, he knows that it's the last thing she would want but right now needs overrides wants.
"I'm sorry. I'll make it up to. But first, who gave this to you?" Luca asked and let go, she turned around to him.
"I-i don't remember, the only thing I remember about it is to keep it on me to keep her away. I got it when we came back, though. But other than that I have no idea. How did you find out about it?" She looked into his eyes. He looked away.
"Because, I have things on my side." He walked out of the room, he left the hospital and went to a park, where he set the paper on fire. He turned around and went back to the hospital.
"Adonis Moore, please." He waited while the nurse pulled up the information.
"He's in the emergency room." Luca nodded and left. When he got there he looked around for Adonis. When he spotted him he ran to his side. Adonis was knocked out, Luca checked his pulse.
"Why isn't he awake? He should be up! Adonis!" He slightly slapped Adonis's face. His eyes twitched a bit, Luca did it again. Adonis opened his eyes.
"Adonis! Thank god!" Luca sighed and hugged him. He wasn't that close but he still felt it necessary.
"Luca?" Adonis slurred his words. Luca nodded, and grabbed a small flashlight.
"Open your eyes and look at me." Luca held up the light to Adonis's eyes. Adonis responded, and Luca set the light down. His eyes were mostly fine, something was off about them though.
"Adonis, tell me the truth. Did you look into her eyes?" Luca asked with a serious tone, Adonis snapped his head to Luca.
"How did you know?" He asked terrified. Luca sighed and rubbed he eyes.
"Never look into their eyes. Look anywhere else, never the eyes. Never will you be able to see other than them. You will be cursed to see them every moment of everyday." Luca recited, Adonis blinked his eyes.
"I will see her everyday?" His quivered a bit. He was more then terrified.
"Not if I can help it. Adonis look into my eyes." He said and grabbed something from behind Adonis. It wasn't anything but he then hit his chest.
"Adonis. It will pass, like time. See my soul, see your soul. Never look away." Luca spoke with a deep voice and had his hands on Adonis's shoulders. Adonis looked into his eyes and he started to forget about the woman.
"I'm sorry, Adonis. This is all I can do." Luca said and Adonis fell asleep. Luca turned around, he stared at something, he was glaring. But a nurse came up to him.
"Hey, who are you here for?" She asked.
"Him." He pointed down to Adonis. She nodded.
"Brother? Friend? Or something more?" She smiled and put her hand on his arm. He smiled awkwardly.
"Something more. Now if you excuse me, I have to take care of him." He shrugged her hand off.
"It's true, all the good ones are either taken or gay." She sighed and walked away.
Luca sat down and waited for Adonis to wake up again. When he did Adonis sprung up and looked around himself.
"Hey, calm down Adonis. You are at the hospital, you are safe. Your father is here." Luca pointed to the man sitting down in the chair by the bed. Adonis followed Luca's arm and saw his father.
"What happened?" He asked and rubbed his eyes.
"What was the last thing you remember?" Luca asked, his arms folded.
"I was inside of Aviana's room. Then I left to find you, and I didn't feel well. That's all." Adonis stared at the bed, trying to think.
"That's great. Okay, try to get up Adonis." Luca held his arm to help him if needed. Adonis got up.
"Your doing great son." Mr. Moore smiled and stood up to hug his son.
"Luca is going to take care of you for a couple of days. There are thing he can help you with, that I can't. Luca take good care of him." Luca nodded and took Adonis to his car.
"What's going on? Why would my father let you take care of me. He's a doctor." Adonis asked still a bit out of it.
"Because he cares for you." Luca said and pulled out of the parking lot. Aviana hasn't been released and until then she can't leave. Luca pulled up to Aviana's place and got out. He helped Adonis up the stairs and opened the door. When they got in, it was dark and there was no furniture. Adonis at on the floor.
"Wait a minute. I'll get some furniture here." Luca moved to the other side other of the apartment.
"Yeah, all of it. Great, yeah I'll pay in cash when you get here." Luca hung up the phone. In an hour they had a couch, two beds and a table. They also got some dishes and a TV. Luca sat on the couch and turned the TV on. He looked over to Adonis whom was sitting by him. He gave the remote to him and stood up.
"You hungry? I'll tell you everything over some food." Luca grabbed his phone and made a call. Later some food came and they ate. Now Luca had to tell him the truth.
Luca is a strong character and is kind. He is more involved in the story than it seemed he would be at first. Adonis is trying to understand everything around him but can't seem to. His memory past when he sat down on the ground outside of the hospital is a blur. And before that as well. Aviana is sitting in her room alone, staring outside of the window. She's trying to keep her head up but is crying up a storm. They have things about them that we couldn't even imagine but the are still human in many other ways.
