After It Goes Away

After seeing the movie we walked to his house.

"You should eat over Lilith!" His mom suggested, I looked over to him.

"Fine with me."

"Okay, Mrs.Pilieo." I walked into the dinning room.

"So, how was school you two?" Mr. Pilieo asked us.

"Boring but we stayed awake so that's good I guess." Luca said, Mr. Pilieo then looked to me.

"Umm, it was borning like Luca said. We read a lot." They nodded.

"Well, reading is good for you." I nodded.

"Let's eat." Mr.Pilieo said and started to dish out everything.

"I'm home!" I walked in. 

"How was school?" My mum asked.

"Well, you know. No friends." She sighed.

"I'm sorry but you know we had to do this. Your father got his dream job and everything!"

"I know, actually. I met a girl." 

"What! Really?" She sounded far to excited.

"Yeah, she's cute. But I think this friend of hers likes her to. But as long as she wants to be my friend I'm good." My mum nodded.

"I don't want you breaking anymore hearts this year. Focus on studying." I nodded and walked to my room.

"Mom! I need a dress!" Jill screamed. I popped my head out of my room and looked in hers.

"Why?" She scoffed.

"Because I have friends and a boyfriend already." She then slammed her door. I scoffed myself and went back in my room.

"Thanks for dinner." 

"Oh your welcome here anytime Lilith." She smiled to me and took my hand.

"Like she said, anything for a friend of Luca's." I nodded.

"Thanks again. I should get going."

"I'll walk you home." I nodded to Luca.

After we got a block away I started to laugh.

"That was so awkward!" He chuckled.

"They're like that. You know how parents are." 

"Yeah." 

"How's your mom doing?" 

"My sister's causing concern."

"Really, I didn't think Aviana was that bad." 

"She's not, but she's been getting sick a lot. I don't know what to do.  She's all pale and stuff." 

"Have you guys taken her to the hospital?" I could see the pity in his eyes, I hated it.

"If we had the money we could." 

"I could pay. My family is rich." I shook my head.

"No, I'm getting a job to help." We stopped at my house.

"I wish you and your family all the luck in the world."

"Thanks, I think we'll need it." 

"Goodnight." He smiled to me.

"Night." I said and then closed the door.

I walked up to Avi's room and checked on her.

"How are you feeling?" 

"Like crap. You know, I told mom to go to work but she wouldn't." 

"She's like that. For now, just get better." I smiled to her.

"Want to hear a story?" She nodded, I walked over to her bed and sat down.

"Once apon a time, in a world not so different from ours.... The spanish conquistadors  came to a new place, they thought it was a place unknown. It was beautiful, green and vibrant. They looked around and found a little temple. This confused them because they thought they were alone and found this place.

"They were looking for the fountain of youth. But the natives that lived there didn't know of the place they spoke of, and gave them gold instead. The gold made them go mad and attack the natives. There was a battle and in the end the natives won. But the price was blood shed. Were they fought the blood from the dead mixed into their water supply. 

"They drank it, and it made them super human. They couldn't die as long as they drank this water. After some time, some of the people felt that no human should have this much life and left. And after years the only people left was the leader and his second in command. They put a curse on their old home and the water. 

"Anyone to drink for the water or live in their city would have this curse. And after time it was lost to the world, but only one map to show the way there. The water is still there but far too high for us to get to and lost. The map is the only way to get there. But we don't need the water, you'll be fine."

"I hope your right." She smiled to me.

"I am, after all I'm your older sister." I kissed her forehead.

"Thanks sis. Could you turn off the lights?" I nodded and turned them off. I left the door open and walked to my room. I laid down and tried to fall asleep.

"I'm going to my new school." Adonis walked into the kitchen.

"That's good. Online school getting to annoying for you?" Jill asked.

"Yeah, plus I found out that this school is one where someone I know goes to." Adonis walked out.

"What school?" Jill yelled, but Adonis ignored her.

...........

"Class!" Ms. Orlo yelled and hit the board with her stupid ruler again.

"We have a new student. Come in!" I looked to the new kid, only to see someone I knew.

"Adonis?" I whispered to myself and turned to Lilith. She was looking at him, her eyes wide. I turned around.

"My name is Adonis Moore. I hope we get along." He walked over  the seat across the way from Aviana.

"Nice to see you again." Adonis smirked to me and turned to the teacher. 

"Aviana read pages 368 to 370." I nodded and stood up.

"We do not, will not believe.."

........After Class.....

"You read good." Adonis came up to me.

"Thanks." I was packing up my backpack.

"You know, I would love it if you would show me around today." 

"I-" 

"She can't." Luca came up to us.

"Why not?" 

"She has somewhere to be." I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up. I can't today, and Luca I can walk home myself." I left.

I can't believe how fast Adonis changed. Just the other day he was shy but now he's a total playboy. And Luca, he's starting to get annoying. This doesn't feel right, nothing feels right. I shouldn't be here. I don't want to be here.

I crossed the street once more without looking, but this time Luca wasn't here. I felt it hit my leg and then, nothing.
