Fairy tales are lovely, they take place in a world and time we don't live in or no longer live in. I've taken that comfort away, this story takes place in modern times. But I haven't taken away the unrealistic aspect of it. You may feel like this is no fairy tale, Fairytale: a fabricated story, especially one intended to deceive. You thought this would end well and would be a well round romance? No, not all fairy tales have happy endings....

....

After Adonis walked into the penthouse, he felt worried. Luca walked into the building and went to the kitchen and grabbed a drink.

"Shouldn't we wait for Mr. Rillin?" Adonis asked, he was still standing at the 'door.'

"Nah. At least I don't have to." Luca sat down on one of the couches and put his feet on the small coffee table. Not long after Mr. Rillin came in.

"Hello, Luca. I see you made yourself at home." He laughed a bit and walked over to the young man. Luca stood up and hugged him.

"Nice to see you to ol' man." He chuckled while patting his back. Mr. Rillin smacked his butt, Luca let go and backed away while rubbing his butt.

"What have I told you?" He asked, his finger out and waving like crazy.

"Not to put my feet up." Luca rubbed the back of his neck.

"Great! Now listen to me! Anyways, how's my Lu?" He asked and sat down. Adonis stood awkwardly in the corner of the room, Luca caught him in the corner of his eye.

"I'm good like always, you remember Adonis?" Luca pointed with his hand, Mr. Rillin nodded his attention not leaving Luca.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Rillin." Adonis walked up to him and stuck his hand out. Mr. Rillin ignored it.

"James!" Luca exclaimed and picked his hand up and made him take Adonis's hand.

"Stop being a child. Jr, he's a good kid." Luca let go of their hands and Mr. Rillin's hand dropped right after. Adonis looked down slightly embarrassed. Luca smiled to him.

"Forget it. Jr has a way of being a child. When Aviana and I lived here, we acted like his parents more than he acted like ours!" Luca and Mr. Rillin laughed, Adonis chuckled awkwardly.

"Because that's the point of children once they get to adulthood!" He joked, Luca shook his head still laughing. Mr. Rillin looked over to Adonis.

"Can I get ya something?" He asked standing up, Adonis shook his head.

"No, no thank you. We have come here for a reason after all." Adonis sat down for the first time, Mr. Rillin nodded and walked over to the kitchen.

"Well, I'm sure my boy Lu explained everything?" He turned to Luca for a second. Luca nodded.

"Of course. Well, mostly. We need to know more about angels." Luca turned in his seat to look at Mr. Rillin.

"So be it. Adonis, you have angel on your back. Well, not on it per say, but following you. This isn't good, death should have come to you a long time ago but an angel stuck his neck out for you." Mr. Rillin took a sip of his drink and sat by Luca.

"If he was to die or leave you, you would die. Well unless your death is yet to come. Which it obviously is." He leaned back. Adonis was leaning forward, all his attention on the older man.

"Jr, more." Luca moved his arms behind his head and leaned back as well.

"Oh, well, that means you could die before your time and its trying to stop that. You're lucky unlucky kid." Mr. Rillin raised his glass to Adonis.

"Thanks." Adonis replied sarcastically and leaned back, rubbing his face.

"Jr, what if someone saw the angel?" Luca asked, his head turned to Rillin.

"Then they are doomed to die before their time, why'd ya ask?" Rillin asked, Luca sat up straight. He looked worried, it caught James attention.

"Luca? What aren't you telling me?" Luca glanced at Adonis for a second.

"Aviana," he sighed and rubbed his face. "Aviana sees the angel following Adonis."

"What?! You tell me this now? Bloody hell!" He stood up, his hand went through his black and grey hair.

"Sorry." Luca looked down.

"How do know?" Rillin asked.

"I listen." Rillin nodded and sighed.

"Fine. I left out some things... You wanna hear them?" Rillin asked and sat down again. Luca nodded and he started to tell them the things he left out.

"This 'angel' isn't your bible-all-good-angel. It's not bad per say, but as I told you, it sees death. It's an angel of death, for death, by death. It looks nothing like a human, some say that the masks for the Japanese samurai came from them. They fight off evil and some times the evil corrupts the good. The angels are good for the most part but there are bad apples. Once they leave, sometimes the person they hooked on to, dies. Not because of them but because their time is up. This isn't always bad. They are very strong in the light but get way strong in the dark. The whole 'I see the light' thing is bullshit. You don't see light, it's like a darkness but warm. And so they get stronger in the dark, but so do evil spirits."

"Okay, what about curses?" Adonis asked, catching Mr. Rillin and Luca off guard.

"Oh well, that's easy. There are five curses, all nasty in their own way. But I'm sure you know about them, let's talk about Luca's curse first then yours. Talking about his should make understanding yours easier. Luca has been cursed by a crazy-old-hag. She blames everyone involved in her death, for her death, but not herself. Her curse is death, not like I curse you till you die but even through death. When Luca here dies, his curse will start. She can't kill him, but there are always loopholes. Like she can cause an accident to happen and kill him or whisper in someone's ear and make them kill him. But this takes skill and time, not to mention the energy it also takes. Whooo, it takes a lot of that." He chuckled.

"Now yours." He looked up to Adonis, his easy going attitude and tone gone, now replaced by seriousness. Adonis gulped, fear for the words that would come out of Mr. Rillin's mouth enveloped him.
